  1. And the darn things got to be ten years old. Low Def too. H and A should be embarrassed. "We've been in this a long time, Bill..."
  2. Velocity is down, his mechanics looked off, he was all over the zone, and he had weird body language. Other than that, he looked pretty good. And there's another HR off Lohse. The above gentle sarcasm reminded me of "Soup pitched great!"
  3. I know a lot of Brew fans remember John Axford fondly, even with his struggles, he was a player that always did his best. This is an update about his son's fight with a very bad rattlesnake bite, two bites, and he is just a toddler. I remember when Ax was so happy when he was born. So far, the news is difficult, but very positive. Best to John, son and family. http://www.denverpost.com/rockies/ci_28132325/axford-looks-up-his-little-man
  4. I am little surprised no one has posted on the new security measures, considering the opinionated group we are! Nonetheless, if anyone who goes to the opening games this week, it would be helpful to all if you posted any hints, tips, hassles or good experiences. My first game is not till April 12, so I hope any bugs are worked out. Those of you who are opening day and courageous opening week fans, any hints or tips will be dearly appreciated. Thanks!
  5. I know we have billions and billions of members. Nonetheless, it will be good to see all 8 or so of you!
  6. For those who are thinking about it. Come join the group. It is small, friendly, and the baseball talk is rich. It is fun to be at Friday's a month ahead of opening day. The ground crew will probably have the "grow" lights on, it is an interesting view. Best of all, we will be in first place, and we can think spring.
  7. I rigged up a drone that will transport me right to the Bud Selig statue, then wait for me until the end of the game. Seriously
  8. Holey Moly Donuts are excellent. The BBQ will be a Smoke Shack. Their is one near downtown, and it is very good. It is a Sorge Group venture. However, I hope they don't use Smoke Shack to replace the Carver station on Field level, third base side.
  9. I am in if it is Milwaukee, and the date is OK. Saturdays usually will work.
  10. How do you fake a broken ankle? You are being sarcastic, I presume, but then again....
  11. That is our Shea. BTW just having fun here no insult meant to Shea, or our long ago review of Shea.
  12. Our 2010 20th round draft pick, Shea Vucinich was released. At least though, his interview will live forever.
  13. Got to give Estrada some credit for coming back and pitching respectively after his mid season troubles. He made himself tradeable.
  14. I guess many, like me, thought he would be a frequent all star for years. I have no doubt the injuries changed the course of his career. Then, without the power, and high OPS, his fielding became a bigger issue. I give him credit for handling the platoon issue well, even though trying left field may have been a good thing to do. None the less, he had many good moments, and all the best to him in whatever happens next.
  15. It will be fun too watch. If we could only black out annoying "Marlins Man." What a tool.
  16. I am watching. I can't buy into the bitter "I won't watch crowd." It's the World Series, baseball, I am a fan. And as Ned Stark says "Winter is coming."
  17. Whatever happens, I am really enjoying KC and the O's. Just great competition without Cardinal attitude.
  18. RR said Davis is still hurting. As far as Braun and Ramirez, it is the end of the year, let em play. No Gomey though, so we can't see what great or dumb thing he could do today. Winter is coming.
  19. Going to my last game tomorrow. Yes, this team disappointed the heck out of me, as it did all. We saw some great over achievement, and failed to capitalize. There are all calls for heads to roll, and even though the solution is more complex than that, everything has to be looked at at all levels. Nonetheless, it will be a sunny fall day at MP. It will be the last time for many of the players in Milwaukee. (Ricki, it never worked, but you gave it great effort, was hoping for more), (good luck Lyle, you are a class act). Last cold beers on a sunny day, Polish sausage, maybe a bloody Mary. Winter is coming, maybe long and hard, so no way I miss the last game. Time marches.
  20. Fun game to be, but watching us strand runners and run int outs gets a bit old. Hard to knock Krod much. Mcutcheon may be the best, or near best hitter in baseball. When they keep fouling, you know you are in trouble. KRod took him ten pitches in.
  21. 21 years with two tix on a 20 game plan (although first few years at County were 13 games). Normally in 119, 17, aisle seats. Moved to behind 3rd base dugout, row 14. Not an aisle, but pretty darn good. Big investment, but if I sell a game or two, I can almost break even.
