  1. Balfour and Estrada, the best tandem in baseball.
  2. I'm really going to miss Balfour when Hall comes back.
  3. As is the case with Dontrelle Willis, Josh Hancock and Tony LaRussa, driving drunk is one of the most unexcusable things a person can do. I would hope that eventually legislation develops a harsher stance on the idiots who do this nonsense.
  4. Hopefully this will help hold off a potential push from the Cardinals. St. Louis Today link
  5. "Yeah, I knew that those arteries have been hot lately, so I'm sending em down in favor of one of our new guys."
  6. One of his intangibles is that he has provided speaking points for the gentleman who spouts over by the bridge in general parking.
  7. Suppan has been a workhorse in that he's thrown a lot of pitches...through 5 innings.
  8. I don't know if this maybe just me, but I have a hard time with how "Games Over 500" is measured. For example, right now, the Brewers are 49-37, so it is stated that they are 12 games over .500. However, the way it should be calculated is that since the Brewers have played 86 games, .500 would be defined as 43-43. Therefore, the Brewers are 6 games above the .500 mark. I understand why it is referred to as being "12 games above 500", but it seems that this is incorrect based on how standings are measured. Yes, we've won 12 more games than we've lost, but shouldn't it be based on the number of games we've played?
  9. Please insert me into the mix.
  10. Considering the fallout between CBS and Craig, he most certainly won't be in the running to host the Price is Right.
  11. It is on ESPN right now, but the competition hasn't started yet.
  12. No one else found the DeRosa move also bizarre?
  13. Damian Miller has a ring too from the Diamondbacks.
  14. Craig Coshun has no business being in journalism. He frequently seems confused as to what he wants to say/ask and rather than making players comfortable in interviews (the #1 thing to do when dealing with athletes when you're a fluff reporter) he always makes them uneasy. Sutton was underappreciated, but I think Anderson has done a decent job. I like that he repeatedly uses the term "terrorizes"/"terrorized".
  15. Hughes is one of the best announcers in the game. He does a great job covering everything while still trying to make Santo's presence justified. If you listen, he really tries to set Santo up so he can tell some stories. I also like that he frequently teases Santo in a kind way. Great announcer.
  16. Winning 8-3 going into the top of the 9th...now losing 9-8 with no outs EDIT: Date. -PF
  17. 350 family members? I hope a friend or two was mixed in.
  18. Wow, those are two horrible parents. I can't believe they signed the form. That said, why are they talking about her daughter as if she died from a drug overdose? 'She could've done anything...but she threw it all away". Tremendous!
  19. This is especially shocking considering that Lee has always been considered a "classy" guy. Out of all the players on the team who would throw a punch, he's the last person I'd expect to do this. It will be interesting to see how this impacts them with Lee's inevitable suspension. That said, if it was intentional, do it to Soriano, not Lee.
  20. As Cordero is evolving into Rod Beck
  21. I'd love to take two if that is possible.
  22. http://mydarkunderworld.homestead.com/files/jeff_hardy3.jpg Corey Hart?!?
