  1. Fielder only looks like he is admiring his shots, as his swing takes him over the plate and darn near falls over, it takes him a few seconds to regain his balance, heck he watches his ground outs and other hits too!
  2. With the shirt untucked thing, I have heard the story that Cameron does it to honor his dad and most, but not all of the guys picked up on it, and correct me if I am wrong, Cameron has said he did it in the past at San Diego, did anybody complain about it than? Did other players do it in San Diego? I love what this team has become, a true team...it seems like every night somebody new is stepping up in a big situation to help the team win!
  3. I don't think Ned should win Manger of the Year, but Doug Melvin should win GM of the year if there is such an award, besides CC coming over the vets he added are the difference, Cameron, Kendall, Counsell and Kapler are all huge in the brewers success.
  4. I think that if the Dream team were in these Olympics, they would take the Silver only losing to a much younger Redeem team
  5. I have two, one from a sit-com and one from a serious show James-The dumb speech writer from Spin City, he is from Wisconsin...funny stuff out of his mouth! and Jack McCoy-the ADA from the orginal Law and Order...the guy takes nobody's stuff!
  6. Sad thing is that he did it again in the second game, at least this time he got to second, I wonder who is running the Cubs...the players or Lou?
  7. The beauty about this is that you can argue with the score keeper and they actually can change it within I believe it's 24 hours, you don't see it very often as most scores are pretty consistent with what they will give a hit or an error.
  8. I don't like that they are bringing it in mid-season, if they are going to do it it should be at the beginning of the year, it would be like the NBA saying we are moving the 3 pt line back right before the playoffs. I second most thoughts, Bud has been great for the game of baseball, very popular...lots of teams in the mix that normally shouldn't be, the Wild Card interleague, plus the strike was brewing before he had any control
  9. The hardest thing about ACL's is the mental block to trust the knee when doing activity. now days after the surgery the knee is as good as new. If Gallardo comes back and gets his arm in-season shape and pitches anything like he can...I can't imagine how good the crew could be
  10. This thread reminds me of a scene from the Movie "Major League" "No to high, to high" "What you mean to high?" "Well the angle looked like" "To High you mean to far" "WHo gives a ---- it's gone"
  11. I read most of every post...I would like to point out people comparing it to the past...well I have a saying that may be compared to this "Kids today are different than the past because today's parents are different" You can not compare Hank Aaron's era to now. Not saying Hank would showboated, but if there was a 24 hour sports show there would have been more. Players act different today because society allows it.
  12. I think it would suck if Tony starts a war...because CC won't be as affective as he won't be able to pound the ball inside with fear of being tossed...
  13. In a Major League season you are going to win a 1/3 of your games by 3 or more, lose a 1/3 of your games by 3 or more, it's what you do with the other 1/3 that makes or breaks you! Win the close ones baby!
  14. I am not sold on Meyer being a high draft pick, very raw needs some seasoning may take him the longest to get to the bigs out of the other kids mentioned. Teams drafting in the top are looking for players that are 2-3 years away from being ready, Meyer may be 4-6 years
  15. Bill Hall watches his Home Runs longer than any Brewer!
  16. I don't get it, the Brewers signed a pitcher that has mixed results in the bigs to a minor league contract and everybody is worried that he will be with the big club in two months! He will be with the big club if he 1. Can Get people out! and only if it's #1
  17. I don't think he will get that money I bet he is saying this so his clients drop to better "big market" teams that normally have the money for big league contracts and stuff!
  18. The greatest line on the Radio "Once Again here's Bob Uecker"- Jim Powell right before first pitch of a Brewer game on the radio! That and Hot Dogs on the Grill...every game I go to (High School's to recruit) I always got to get a dog at the stand!!
  19. Cole's only issue is how deep he can go...he's got a live arm I saw all four innings he threw done in Jupiter and he was electric...I have never seen a High School kid throw the way he does, and he has some savy with different tempo into his leg lift...I didn't see any PR teams down there...Cole has closer type stuff...that projects real well!
  20. Colby-I am not sold on Beckham-I saw him three times over the last summer and he doesn't jump out at me at all...don't get me wrong, he is going to be solid but he isn't an Upton type kid.... Cole...that kid is going to be a stud! Saw him hit 97 in a cold rain! I like the Hicks kid to...solid plus speed!
  21. http://static.yuku.com//domainskins/bypass/img/smileys/roll.gif
  22. I know the Braves and Jason Heyward had agreed to a deal in early July late June but they didn't want to sign to early because it was way over slot value and the Braves didn't want to make the MLB Commish upset, but most teams will sign the top pick today or tomorrow and most if not all will be over slot value, and the clubs will say, hey we had to get our top pick signed and we did what was best for us and not MLB!
  23. Got another DH rule for you guys In the 8th inning the DH goes in to play second base, what happens to the DH and which spot in the line up is vacated and who bats there?
  24. Correction it would most likely take up to 30 minutes to get them going again. This happened to me once when somebody hit the lights at our field in the 7th inning, it took 15 minutes before we could flip them back on and 15 minutes to where it was safe to play...just to get 3 outs!
  25. Maybe the sign was suppose to be in Blue!http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
