  1. He is First ballot HOF, no question...the numbers and the way he plays the game screams HOF...If he isn't first Ballot than nobody should be...I dont' care who else goes in with him, Biggio is a class guy who played the game hard for 20 years...kind of reminded me of a Brewer what was his name? Yount that's right!
  2. I don't remember who said it (maybe Damin Miller) but said that Prince would be an MVP and asked when he said this year. I think it was during Spring Training or early in the season, can anybody refresh my memory! Thanks
  3. I think Lou was traded to the Cards during his career Anybody know about Rod Carew
  4. There is only 9 members of the 3,000 hit club that got all the hits with one team...I know the following 4 who are the other 5? 1. Robin Yount-Brewers 2. Stan Musial-(per Robert) 3. Biggio-Astros 4. Tony Gywnn-Padres 5. Carl Yastremski-Red Soxs (per Peavy) 6. Roberto Clemente-Pirates (per Peavy) 7.George Brett-Roylas (per Peavy) 8. Cal Ripkin Jr. O's (Per bball) 9. Al Kaline (per Robert) Edit: added names and now the list is complete thanks guys
  5. Like the poster before me said...it's different he wasn't gaining an edge he just missed it...it wasn't like he cut 15 feet off the baseline, though if the other team sees it and make an apeal on the play he would be out, but you wouldn't be looked at as a guy who tought his kids to cheat!
  6. YES, it's called setting a good example for the kids you coach and not teaching them to do it! But there are always idiots out there who think that it's okay to teach. If you play the game the right way
  7. A two man crew in Baseball can not see this play!!! Even if you tell them that it is coming the home plate ump needs to see the ball down the line, and the base ump has to watch the play at first...that is how the rotation works for baseball that is why coaches teach it and get away with it...but that coach is very much hated by everyone else
  8. It is a blast went a few years ago and my tandeem partner, we were doing flips and spins in our free fall...I want to go again...but man he needs to let me know he was pulling the cord to open the chute...dang did that hurt!
  9. Guys first off the play is wrong and any coach who runs it should be kicked out of the game Secondly...I have seen a College team run it...with a two man crew you can not watch all of the action going on they need to watch the ball down the line to make sure it is foul or fair and the other ump needs to watch 1st base...you can not see everything on the field if the bunt down the first base line! Don't ever teach your kids this it is totally wrong!
  10. Get paddle, sent you a message on a book...don't know any sites Syskos in Benton WIsconsin use to be great but they don't do baseball anymore...how to deal with parents...have rules...number one rule 1. No talking to any coach before, during or after a game! Coaches will not discuss playing time with parents! Please respect this rule! It works just stay strong with it
  11. How many innings have they each thrown...CoCo most likely has a higher K/9 Innings
  12. thanks I like the Chat! Wish I could do it at home:)
  13. At work I can get into the Chat, but at home on my computer I can't what do I need to download to get me on? Thanks in advance
  14. I have seen Chase pitch he needs college to get stronger, he sat 87-89 most of the game I saw him pitch, during the UIL playoffs in Texas, nice Slider, very projectable but needs to get stronger! Vandy will be a good fit for him! He goes to South Lake Carrol High School, not Carrol High School, they are the dominate sports school in Texas...Football team won 5 state titles in a row...has an indoor facility that makes the McClain Center look small!
  15. I know for fact that they offered each pick some $ before the draft and asked if they would sign for that or not, if they said yes they took them where they were sloted to go!
  16. The braves are putting togeather a pretty good draft, first Heyward than Gilmore two High School kids with very raw power... I predict that both will be in the bigs in 4 or 5 years
  17. You are right about taking the best available but you would be hard pressed to find many scouts that would say he was the best on the board at #7...not many people had him going in the first round, sandwhich pick or early second was what I was hearing. I don't know what Colby was hearing as he deals with more scouts than I do
  18. LaPorte would have been a higher draft pick last year if he wasn't hurt...should have taking Heyward!
  19. ColbyJack-the Mel Kiper JR of Brewerfannet!
  20. I don't know what Colby will say or heard but I would think it isn't very high, a fifth year senior more likely a late pick or a free agent signing for cheap...great kid!
  21. Scouts that I have talked to from the midwest project Zimmerman as a #3 or #4 starter Colbyjack is to Brewerfan.net as ____________ is to the NFL Draft (fill in the blank) http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  22. Colby-heard the interview or at least parts of it the other day waiting for the brewers to come on...great job with it!
  23. The Ump who ejected the manager last year is from DeSoto Wisconsin and I roomed with him in college...when I saw last nights episode on TV I was thinking to myself that he did it again! The ump from last year is a great guy and even a better ump he did a lot of the games I coached in at Platteville before he became an Minor League Ump.
  24. Only at Whitewater!
