  1. My parents have a urinal in the bathroom because my mom thought my dad "missed" too much http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  2. It was very inspiring watching you come back last year and I will always follow you and be curious about you. Also, I have to say that my wife always asked if "cappuccino" was pitching everytime we went to a game and always asked about you while you were hurt and she is a casual fan at best. I think she may have had a crush http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif Thanks for always giving your all.
  3. I think now that the Brewers are clearly going for it they should see if he would be interested in coming back on the cheap. If he enjoyed playing for the team and the players it might give him another chance to play for a winner and you just never know when you are going to need a closer. I would hope that he is more interested in playing for a winner in a situation that he is happy in then just going to whatever bad team will hand him the closers job. It might be a win-win situation.
  4. I vacation in Fort Walton beach twice a summer and about half the time fly into Pensacola (and even when I don't its only about 45 minutes away) so I welcome this news. Looks really fun.
  5. I'm a little bitter that they broke up the Yankees and Red Sox series as I was hoping to see the Brewers in both cities on one trip.
  6. How often this year have we had two on and Braun and Prince coming up and failed to score.
  7. I'm sure the player to be named later is probably Mike Trout.
  8. I saw Molitor's cycle versus the Twins and Cuddyer's cycle versus the Brewers last year. I saw Scott Erickson's no no verus the Brewers. Just over a week ago I saw Felix Hernandez strike out 4 batters in an inning which was the 53rd time it had ever done (Parra become the 54th several days later). I've also seen two All Star Games and several World Series games etc. but that's not really the same as seeing a random rarity IMO.
  9. Don't get me wrong I love Miller Park but the park isn't really anything special to look at (boring in fact) and the roof design sort of makes it seem like you are watching baseball inside even when it is open because it is so contained (which was really evident last year during the Twins series when it was hot and muggy). That said I have been to 19 parks and Miller Park is probably like number three on my list but Target Field may be number two (after Kaufman). Tailgating is very important to me which is why KC and Milwaukee rank high. I have been to five games now at Target Field and the place is beyond amazing and the cold isn't really a problem because they literally put in thousands of overhead heaters anywhere and everywhere in the park. One game I had to take off my coat and I was still hot. We also went to the open house where we got to tour every part of the ballpark and we checked out almost every seating level including the firepit area so I have a real good idea of what the ballpark has to offer and I couldn't think of anything they missed. In fact I don't think I would want the roof because I really like open ballparks and I would trade a few cold days for perfect summer evenings outside. Jim Leyland said that Target Field in his opinion is the number two park in all of baseball after only PNC (which I have not been to).
  10. Yeah but Target Field is superior in every way to Miller Park except the roof (which is only really NEEDED may 5 times a year) and the parking lot for tailgating. It's not even close.
  11. 9-19 5 +5+1 = 11
  12. The Player X articles have been excellent and for a while I was suspecting that the football player X was Sharper.
  13. I got my single game tickets delivered to Saint Paul, MN on Wednesday....with schedule.
  14. It was as easy to get tickets online as it has been in four or five years as well so either they have learned how to handle the traffic or they sold a lot less tickets this year. Judging from the good seats I got for my games I'm a little worried that the tickets aren't selling as well.
  15. The Bruce - I hooked the computer directly up to my 50" plasma last ear and the HD on the tv is worse then SD broadcast quality because it has constant little glitches. Seriously if you are bothered by Comcasts claims you will not be happy with the mlb.tv at all because half the time you have to watch it in lower quality. The HD feed cuts out and glitches quite often even directly hooked up to the comcast line and on the router it's pretty tough to watch it at all. The freezing thing that someone mentioned happened on all three of my computers and they are all pretty new and fast. It gets very frustrating at times because it doesn't just work all the time like it should. When it's working it's great but half the time you are having to close everything and open it back up etc. etc.
  16. Slightly off topic but I've been to 20 MLB stadiums and Kaufman is at or very near the top. I went back this last year and I really liked the refurbishment. The scoreboard is beyond stunning and the hall of fame is very very well done.
  17. I wish that there was another good team in our division so we could actually look at selling. Sadly you can't sell when you are only a couple/few games out of the lead no matter how bad you may be.
  18. My wife was nearly ran over by a ballhawk in Cleveland and if he would have he would have had major issues. He already had 4 batting practice balls and still nearly took out my wife.
  19. There isn't AC according to the tour guide I asked.
  20. I was in Cleveland for all three games and thought the fans were excellent and very nice and even funny and I sat in the bleachers in right, behind home plate and in the front row of the upper level behind home plate. I'm not sure you should judge an entire fan base on a few fans who happened to sit next to you.
