    Hall is a primary reason this season has been so disappointing (along with Weeks and of course Sheets usual injuries).

    I certainly hope Jenkins isn't around long enough to hit 41 homers as we are talking at least 2 more seasons.

    Rock bottom will be when we finish with a worse record then we did last season and the cardinals make it into the playoffs with 83 wins again and for the second straight season we blew an easy chance to make the play-offs. If this team ever figures it out in the next few years the rest of the division might be better and we might not make the play-offs with 90 plus wins.

    At least if we would have signed Schmidt he would be hurt so we could actually make a spot in the rotation for our younger guys.

    I know he says he doesn't want to manage anymore but I would take a dumptruck full of money and park in front of Tom Kelly's house (which is about 2 blocks from mine) and see if that didn't change his mind. He is by far the best manager not currently managing.

    Uecker was talking about the hotel they were staying at on the air the other day. He gave the name and location but I can't remember what he said except it was right by the White House and Senate Offices.

    You might want to count Santana's starts again because it is 11 and he hasn't left any with injury no matter how you want to spin it. Santana hasn't given up more then 4 runs this year and all the talk in the Twin Cities is about how poor he is pitching so..... Also, just a general comment I think you are OBSESSED with comparing Sheets and Santana because I've seen it on about 10 threads. One last thing he missed a start Sunday (or yesterday).

    Except everyone in Minneosota is wondering why Santana has been so bad this season. Everyone is also assuming that he is having another slow start. Check out his career numbers in June through the end of the season. Also, Santana is pitching every 5 days unlike Sheets and hasn't left any starts early due to injury either. On top of that Santana pitches in the American League.
