    You forgot to blame Turnbow for making the pitch to LoDuca. There's plenty of blame to go around. All I was saying is that when Brewer teams in the past may not have always put forth the effort to fight back, these guys stayed with it til the end. When it comes down to it, you can blame the bullpen, blame Jenks, blame whoever you want. EVERYONE who was involved in playing the game tonight lost. Same way with every loss.

    I was just going to post that this was a very encouraging game! I don't think it was the most disappointing loss by any stretch. The team of fighters and gamers kept playing tough until the end. The Mets have one of the best records in the NL, and to come back from an 8-4 deficit is pretty darn good! I'm very ticked that FSN didn't have this game on. Midday games, I can understand not having on....but a Saturday night, and especially after the thing sells out! Sad. We'll make it 2 of 3 tomorrow.

    Bill Hall does not need a vehicle...he transports himself. The US wants to go to Mars...Bill Hall has already been there. Bill Hall once was napping in the clubhouse during a game, was called up to pinch hit, and hit a game winning home run! Bill Hall once made a spectacular catch in centerfield, runs in to second base, tags the guy at second out, then runs and tags the guy at first out. The players on base were in awe of Bill Hall.

    Did anyone else see FSN's slow-mo, close-up of Bonds getting hit in the head? I could watch a loop of that for hours....FUNNY!

    Bonds immediately yelled out an expletive You mean he didn't say "Ow, that really hurt"??? Doesn't surprise me.

    That said, we need to employ the Jason Bay approach from the first series of the year. Just nibble.. if he doesn't swing away, he can go to first and we will let pee-hands try to drive him in. LOVE the pee-hands line...that's all I can think of whenever I see Alou....just gross stuff!

    Seems like they're starting to get a handle on this hitting with men in scoring position and hitting with 2 outs. Let's keep it up!

    I like seeing Cirillo get the start. He needs to get some playing time and ABs to keep himself fresh to be the righty PH off the bench. The lineup today looks solid, and I think this should be a good game....hopefully Brewer victory!

    He put Gross at leadoff (today as well). I also like Cirillo hitting second....that's where he should be whenever he's in the lineup.

    Wow! J.J.'s hitting 7th! Well, Ned's been doing pretty well in playing these hunches of moving the guys around. I hope J.J. gets it turned around at bat and starts really hitting the ball well.

    Thanks for the Ohka kazoo pic....I've got it saved on my computer now. Makes me laugh every time I see it. I think he's going to have a good outing tonight. Nothing really specific, just a good feeling.

    That trade (Capellan for Kolb) has got to be right up there with the Sexson deal as DM's greatest trade ever!

    Oh, wow! That fighting Okra with the kazoo in its mouth is hilarious!!!!! I can't stop laughing!!

    Man, just as Davis is throwing the pitch to Ensberg, Daron is talking about how you should pitch away from Ensberg and Xavier Nady because they'll hurt you....no sooner is it out of Daron's mouth! They should put a feed of Bill and Daron in the catcher's mask so they know what to call! Unbelievable!

    I got this off of CBS Sportsline..."Bannister is a Rookie of the Year candidate." Umm....I guess....let's hope the Brewers' bats give him a nice welcome to the bigs today!
