  1. Isn't Santana in AAA and Phillips in AA? That's where they were in Houston.
  2. I suddenly find myself hoping that the Astros play the Cardinals in the WS and Gomez does something and (gasp) celebrates, thereby irritating all of Cardinal nation. Because, you know, they are the arbiters of the "right way to do things." Me too!!
  3. They're not. Biloxi is their destination.
  4. Santana was. The other 3, no.
  5. They're good. Really good. Phillips is probably the biggest loss for the Astros, but where there was going to be a logjam. Tucker, Marisnick, Springer, Santana, Phillips, even the possibility of bringing Rasmus back.
  6. Brewers can start going to the scrap heap to get DFAs and such to finish the year, I hope. Last year when Santana came up for a cup of coffee, he was turrible. This year, he looked much better. I'd say leave him in AAA and pencil him in for next year.
  7. I think we have our answer.....or a start at least.
  8. Wow. I'm surprised at this. I didn't think the Astros would have interest in TEHFIERS, but it's cool. As long as they didn't give up A.J. Reed, that's good. Hader's come on of late and Phillips and Santana can play. Good start to the rebuild. Hopefully there's more to come. Now to read the Astros boards.....
  9. I hope not. Go into full rebuild and get what younger guys you can.
  10. Thanks Carlos. You had a good run. Hopefully this helps to push the Brew Crew into a full rebuild with Parra, Cotts, and whoever else they can get a good return on and start to look toward 2017 or 2018.
  11. Dealing away a guy who's about 65 games from retirement hardly is a rebuild move. It saves a few bucks and gives a chance for a good look at Perez to see if he's a decent option there. Chances are Perez will put up better overall numbers than Ramirez will in Pittsburgh. Nobody's going to give anything for Lohse. Alright, I was trying to be optimistic.
  12. Why wouldn't someone have traded for him? Yes he had a poor start to the year but so did many of the Brewers including the golden boy Lucroy (who still is sucking). The dude can hit and usually tears it up later in seasons. Good move for the Pirates. I'm not surprised he's gone. I'm happy he's gone. I figured it would be Parra or Lind to go first.
  13. Why not?? If the Dodgers are game, I'd be.
  14. Let's get ready to reeeeeeebuiiiiiilllllllldddddd!!!!! Any and every guy not named Arcia is on the table. Somewhat surprised ARam was the first to go, but get what you can. Heck, someone might give a C- prospect for Lohse....depends on how desperate they are.
  15. Only player in entire system I wouldn't listen to offers on is Arcia. He's got superstar potential. Everyone else is available.
  16. Looking back at it, I was ticked at Favre for going back on his retirement, expecting the Packers to roll out the red carpet. They did the wise thing and moved on, had Rodgers not been half as good as he has been, there may have been much more revisionist history. But, we've got a hall of famer going to another hall of famer. So it all works out.
  17. Illness for AJ Reed. No trade. I really don't want the Astros going after Upton. A pitcher is really what they need.
  18. In my opinion, I'm listening to offers on anyone not named Arcia. There needs to be a full on rebuild. There's been an attempt to retool for the past 3 years and look at where that has gotten us. Lohse and Garza pitching like garbage. No thank you! Give me guys who have high upside and high ceilings, and let's see what they can do mixed in with what's already on the farm.
  19. If they trade Arcia, I will be done. They traded Hardy to make room for Escobar, which was good....then they traded Escobar to make room for.........Yuni B, which was stupid......I'd rather keep Arcia, Sardinas, and Segura, and put one at short, one at second and then you have a strong middle infield for years to come. Granted, Arcia is their best trading chip right now, because they've got mediocre MLB players that aren't even playing on a mediocre level. So, there's that.
