  1. I am optimistic about Braun's confidence and Joseph Attanasio's velvety singing voice.
  2. I don't see why Nagler is posting about it. He is 100% football.
  3. When can we expect to see them announce promotions and such? Curious to see what they do with Arcia. I'd probably start him out in A-ball again to see if he puts up better numbers, but maybe they'll push him harder because of his high potential? I wish I had gotten up to Appleton to see him and Roache play.
  4. How about putting Weeks at 1B? Problem solved. He's probably going to put on another 30 pounds of mass in his upper body while his leg is healing so his range will be Yuni-like next year anyways.
  5. Reading someone defend Yuni is odd. I'd have thought there would be a better chance of seeing a mermaid. They do exist!
  6. Did Tyrone Taylor get hurt? Haven't seen him in the box score the past few days.
  7. Not sure if this has been talked about already, and maybe it doesn't really matter anyway, but is it possible Braun felt like the MLBPA kind of threw him under the bus or was of no help to him at all so he decided to go his own route and take MLB's deal? If you're a lower-tier player like Nelson Cruz you'd have to be dirtying a few diapers at the moment you would think.
  8. You were using an emotional argument which doesn't have much validity. I'm sure plenty of people "knew in their hearts" that Braun would be suspended the first time around, but that didn't happen. It's also a form of "I know better than you" line of thinking. Our belief is largely irrelevant; he either did or didn't use and will either be suspended or he won't be - whether I believe or hope for a certain outcome doesn't matter.
  9. From Joe Block's twitter: Wily Peralta last 5 starts: 1.08 ERA in 33.1 IP If you go back to the start of June he has a 2.88 ERA in 56.2 IP
  10. He almost certainly lost out on potential endorsements/deals. It's tough to compare Posey and Braun because Posey doesn't have the marketability that Braun has(or did), imo. Posey is kind of vanilla while Braun was one of the most popular players in MLB, high jersey sales, polarizing among fans, etc. He's well spoken, good looking, has that "big city star" vibe and just all-around way more marketable than Posey is. I can only think of the video game(The Show?) commercial that Posey was on a while back.
  11. Sounds exactly the last ten reports by OTL that he would be suspended. Still hasn't happened.
  12. I'm pretty sure the players basically ignore Sedar anyways. You could put a scarecrow at 3rd base and have the same results. Players frequently blow through his stop signs and half the people he sends get thrown out.
  13. I've always found the way Weeks "dives" for balls to be annoying. He does this weird 45 degree angle flop where he just like falls over towards the ball, not full extension to get closer to the ball like you'd see normally. Has always just looked weird to me.
  14. WAR is a pretty solid indicator of demonstrated value, no?
  15. I didn't watch past the third inning and didn't see Peralta's injury, but FWIW the guys on the Nat's broadcast noticed something was up with Peralta in like the first or second inning. Kept saying it looked like he was "mad at the mound" and the like.
  16. Thrown out at home again running on contact. This is getting absurd.
  17. Career threatening? How likely is he to bounce back from this? He has the knees of a 90 year old gypsy.
  18. And considering their history of running on contact from 3rd base this season, you'd hope he would revise the strategy a bit. They've had guys thrown out at home from 3rd on that contact play a diaper-load of times already this season.
