  1. For trade (act fast so we can do the transfer ASAP!): Package #1: Bill Hall (White) Bobble Retro Caldwell Bobble (white) 4 tickets, Sec. 418, Row 9, Seats 10-13, Mon. 6/25 vs. Astros Package #2 Bill Hall (White) Bobble Retro Caldwell Bobble (white, no package - opened) 4 Tickets, Sec. 418, Row 9, Seats 10-13, Wed. 6/27 vs. Astros Wanted in return: -A Prince 2007 Bobble OR -Sutton/Moore Bobbles OR -A Baseball Card lot One of any of those items claims a package. We can also make a deal for future Bobbles as I happen to have season tickets. PM Me ASAP if you're interested so we can do an exchange in time for the games. Rp
  2. Tickets are also available for sale at lowest allowable prices at Brewers Replay on brewers.com. That takes the worry out of shipping as well as they electronically take the ticket numbers and set them up for pick up at the game. Rp
  3. LOL no there was only one. The man formerly known as Jim Helwig (he actually legally changed his name to Warrior later). The rumors were fueled by his constant disappearing act. Really what happened was usually the Warrior and Vince haggling over money. He left after SummerSlam '91... Vince claims he fired him because Warrior held him up for a big bonus check, I have read elsewhere that Warrior was offered main event money to drop the WWF title so they could put it on Hogan at WM 7, Warrior didn't want to do a second Hogan match and so they offered him WM main event money to do the match with Savage instead... (money was all Warrior ever cared about) and when their WM checks came Warrior was shorted the much larger amount he was offered so he used his spot in the SummerSlam main event as his only leverage to recover what was owed. Vince put out a one sided, petty attack on the Warrior on DVD a couple years back called The Self Destruction of the Ultimate Warrior in which he only says that Warrior held him up for no reason. Not sure of the 100% validity of any of the points of the above story but the context of both sides makes it seem feasible. In between that time in August and his return at WM 8 in April 1992 he had laid off the roids and weightlifting and lost a ton of mass, as well as cutting his hair shorter and that fueled the rumors. The truth is it was always the same guy and in real life Warrior is a crazy dude who seems to rant incoherently even in his website columns about wrestling and politics. www.ultimatewarrior.com Rp
  4. I find it strange that Randy Savage has outlived his long time valets (Sherri and Miss Elizabeth) now when he was the one using the roids fairly heavily through the 80s. Of course I also wonder how Hogan and the Ultimate Warrior are still around when countless others have died from abusing their bodies with the same steroids that those two were the poster boys of. Rp
  5. Here's what I got (all are in Sec. 418, Row 9, Seats 10-13... unobstructed TR). -4 tickets for Tuesday 6/19 vs. Giants 7:05pm -4 tickets for Monday 6/25 vs. Astros 7:05pm -4 tickets for Wednesday 6/27 vs. Astros 1:05pm I'll take $30 per game or if you have anything interesting I'd be willing to swap. I traded for 1,000 assorted baseball cards with jnorman on here before so I am pretty flexible. Let me know ASAP so we can set up the swap (I am in Milwaukee) or I can get them in the mail right away (probably best to swap Tuesday's game in person at this point, USPS hasn't been very reliable lately for me). Rp EDIT: Wed tickets are spoken for... still accepting offer for dates above.
  6. You are correct. My bad. I think my memory always lumps Weiland together with Vedder for some silly reason. Rp
  7. I love both bands and actually the whole Seattle scene was pretty awesome in the early 90s w/ Nirvana, Pearl Jam, STP, Mudhoney, et al. As a whole I personally liked Soundgarden better. I liked Smashing Pumpkins early stuff better than their later stuff whereas it was the opposite with Soundgarden. To me the deciding factor is this: What band's CDs do I put in and play more often? For that I have to say Soundgarden ranks higher and of all the Seattle bands of the era they rank just below Nirvana in my personal play list. Rp
  8. Actually, this would work out nicely... I got out of work today. I decided to go to the game but only need 2 tickets, so if you'd like the other two we could swap for the bobble. Check your PM for my phone number. Rp
  9. Come on guys... 4 tickets. Great TR seats... I'm not asking or expecting much... I'd give them up for $30 or a Prince and Sutton bobble... Hurry though, once I'm at work it will be pretty hard to get tickets out to anyone. Rp
  10. Unobstructed Terrace Reserve seats (possibly the best in MP). Sec 418 Row 9 Seats 10-13 Obviously there is not a lot of time to move these, but I am available until 10:30am tomorrow (I work downtown 11-8). I'll take the best offer. I will be out driving tomorrow morning so if you're in the Milwaukee area, I can drive the tickets to you and make the swap. Rp
  11. Matt Hardy looks more like "Voodoo", porn star and Skinemax flick star who is married to Nicole Sheridan. ;-) Rp
  12. I agree there. I listen to 1510am on my way into work because I enjoy Mike & Mike but when I turn my radio on for the way home I click Homer off immediately. The guy's ego is way out of control (see: title of his show) and he's quite annoying. I agree completely on the chicken dinner line as well. Gary & Cliff aren't very good either but in a market where modern rock music is taboo, they're the only option other than grabbing for a CD. Rp
  13. Just wanted to say the tickets/bobbles are spoken for. Thanks. Rp
  14. Hey everyone, I have four tickets to the 5/29 game with the Braves from my season ticket package up for grabs. The seats are Terrace Reserved but as rluzinski or UWRyan428 could tell you, they are the best TR in the house. Unobstructed, nobody in front of you, never have to get up for people walking through the aisle, and near perfect sight lines. The seats are between first and third. Section 418, Row 9, Seats 10-13 Also I have two mini-bobbles, Gantner and Molitor (both are the pinstriped ones) still in their packages to throw in to sweeten the deal for anyone who is interested. If you're interested make me an offer. I am pretty open to suggestions and creative ideas. Off the top of my head: -Anything signed by Capuano (my 8 year old son is a big Cappy fan) -Maybe a lot (as in group) of baseball cards you no longer want I don't know I'm sort of looking for things an 8 year old would enjoy. I have extra tickets to a lower section for that game so no use not offering these seats up the bf.net people who would appreciate them more. Rp
  15. Anyone know if Uecker does autographs/pictures? Rp
  16. Why aren't you just going to a free phpbb and spending $9.99 a month for an unlimited server? $947.00 seems like a lot for a very limited BB, IMO. Rp
  17. So exactly what does Tavaras bring that TGJ does not? Everybody slams Gwynn as not being good enough to play with the Crew next year but I personally think he's better tahn Mr. Genius Melvin's other annoited targets for the position (Roberts/Tavaras). Rp
  18. From Jayson Stark on ESPN.com: http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/hotstove06/columns/story?columnist=stark_jayson&id=2689429
  19. He wouldn't be a $20 million hit when you add up all the contracts we dump. We're dumping over half of that in this deal.... $10 million is far less than we were offering Carlos Lee and we expected Jenkins back still when we made that offer. Also Milwaukee's a perfect spot for Manny. He would not be destroyed by an overbearing media such as he would in Boston, NY or LA and that's the main reason he wants out of Boston. By making this deal we are saying, "Hey, we want to win... come here and we can do this!" especially in a division in which an 83 game winner went on to win the World Series. Melvin would have to persuade Manny but it could be done and we could go get him... Now if the Brewers management team had the cajones to make the attempt. Rp
  20. Just a note, Last year Boston tried to acquire Reed as he was their first choice to replace Damon and Seattle asked for a ton in return, which is why they gave up someone they really coveted in Marte (whom they traded Renteria for) to get Crisp. Seattle hasn't forgotten about him. Not at their asking prices. Rp
  21. *cough* I think I mentioned Turnbow to Boston in the Manny discussions... I still say we try to swing the deal. It covers all four of Boston's needs (OF bat, Backup Catcher, Reliever/Closer, SS): Jenkins, Miller, Turnbow & Hardy for Manny. Then we can either: Play Graffy at SS and we don't lose much bat at all and we can eye Hall in CF and have Gross/Hart split time in Jenkins' old position. Play Hall at SS (where he has shown he is more than capable) and try our hand with Gross and Hart as our other starters (I truly think Hart will be a solid starter) and have Clark on the bench. Manny hits #4 in the order thus giving Prince the ability to be the next Ortiz with the amount of pitches he'll see in the 3 hole and getting someone on base far more often for Hall who could bat #5. It would be the mega splash Milwaukee has never made in an offseason before and it would signal to fans that we want to win now and sell more tickets. We'd only likely need to add a year to Manny's current deal and considering how much $ we take off the books between Jenkins, Miller and Turnbow, not to mention not offering arby to Mench. And then factoring in the $12 mil we'd offered to Lee and we'd come out ahead of where we'd be if we had retained Lee and with twice the bat in Manny. Rp
  22. I agree. Which is why I figured if Boston is looking for help at the other positions, Turnbow might be appealing in that they are covering so many needs in one trade. As for keeping Hall at SS I have no problem with that except I think Graffy, with a full season, would be quite productive as an everyday player (he was for Boston just a year ago) and we can minimize any struggles from the bats of Clark/Hart/Gross to one position rather than two. I think Hart's a starting caliber player myself, but time will tell. Rp
  23. As said above this is certainly dreaming but I'd be willing to make a play for Manny. From what I have read (and being a Sox and Manny fan I keep up with this and openly admit my bias), The Angels are out, the Giants don't have enough to offer, the Cubs aren't serious players, the Padres are just now dipping their toes in the water as are the White Sox. Nobody is running away with this. Manny is as good as Lee ever was defensively and is easily twice the hitter. Think of how good Prince would become with Manny hitting #4. Ortiz became awesome when he had Manny behind him because no manager dare pitch around him to face Manny instead. Prince would be well protected and we would be instantly better. The Sox are looking for a Closer, a backup catcher (Mirabelli is likely not returning), a Shortstop and an Outfield Bat. Turnbow-Miller-Hardy-Jenkins I don't think we'd have to throw in a starter but for good measure I'd toss Ben Hendrickson their way just so they can get a prospect out of it. The only real loss is Hardy although who truly knows how he'd develop? We were going to give Lee $12 million and that was with the expectation of having Jenkins likely on the books for $7 million. Manny's deal would need to be extended (from what I hear teams that are interested would have to be willing to extend him one year) but that's three years rather than four of Lee and we're getting the solid hitter in the middle of our lineup we so desperately need. In turn I would then resign Graffy to be our everyday SS, which is what he desires anyway, move Hall to CF, put Hart and Gross in the mix in Jenkins old slot and let Mench go. Clark and Gwynn could be our bench outfielders. Melvin would have to make the pitch and a hell of a sale to Manny but coming to a team with a huge shot at contention in a small market where the press isn't on his back every twenty seconds might make a world of difference and turn Manny to our favor. Rp
  24. Ohka on radar Right-handed Japanese starter Tomo Ohka is a free agent. Once a young Red Sox starter and teammate of Japanese legend Hideo Nomo in 2001, the 31-year-old Ohka could play the mentor role for 26-year-old Daisuke Matsuzaka. The Red Sox expressed preliminary interest to Ohka?s agent, Jim Masteralexis, before the GM meetings. ?The discussions were preliminary and polite, and we agreed that we probably would pick up discussions again after the winter meetings,? Masteralexis said. Ohka is 41-41 the past four seasons with a 3.88 ERA. Pitching for the Expos, Nationals and Brewers the past five years, Ohka has received poor run support. Ohka has similar career numbers to Bronson Arroyo. He is 48-58 with a 4.04 ERA, 174 starts and a 2.06 strikeout-to-walk ratio. Arroyo is 47-44 with a 4.21 ERA, 161 starts and a 2.17 ratio. Two other AL East clubs as well as a number of NL teams also have inquired about Ohka, Masteralexis said. redsox.bostonherald.com/redSox/view.bg?articleid=167750&srvc=sports
