  1. I happen to like Harang a lot (even before last night) and think he'd be a great piece to our rotation. Would kind of package could we put together to get both guys that doesn't cripple us in the future? Rp
  2. I'll also add that most times I have seen him try to throw a base stealer going to second out he always throws it to the right of the bag to the point where it skips to the CF. He's done it a ton of times this season. Rp
  3. I can't see Gwynn as even an option. They already have a speedy CF that they went out and acquired in Joey Gathright. Rp
  4. Actually it's from the classic Apple IIe game, The Oregon Trail, BUT there are actually six different t-shirts for it at 80stees.com http://www.80stees.com/images/products/The_Oregon_Trail-T-link.jpg http://www.80stees.com/images/products/Oregon_Trail_Future_NRA_Member-T-link.jpg http://www.80stees.com/images/products/Oregon_Trail_Conservationist-T-link.jpg http://www.80stees.com/images/products/Oregon_Trail_Down_by_The_River-T-link.jpg http://www.80stees.com/images/products/Oregon_Trail_Next_Rest_Stop-T-link.jpg http://www.80stees.com/images/products/Oregon_Trail_You_Have_Died_of_Dysentery-T-link.jpg Rp

  6. So is the drafting of Todd Day officially the date the Bucks jumped the shark? Also as for football, I read somewhere that the Milwaukee Arena League team drew the best attendance in the league. Rp
  7. PHOENIX -- The Arizona Diamondbacks changed hitting coaches on Wednesday, promoting Rick Schu to replace Kevin Seitzer. Arizona trails San Diego by 3 1/2 games in the NL West. The Diamondbacks have stayed in contention despite a .248 team batting average. Schu, in his 10th season with the Arizona system, was the organization's hitting coordinator. Seitzer was in his first year as the Diamondbacks hitting coach. "I think for most of the season our offense hasn't been quite as consistent as we'd like, especially this last stretch, it really cost us some games," general manager Josh Byrnes said in a telephone interview. "It's unfair to say that Kevin Seitzer is to blame for that, but it's a change we need to make." more at link sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=2933467 Rp
  8. Wow that's like saying you stopped watching the Tonight Show when Jack Paar left... Stewart MADE that show... with all the talent popping through there (Carrell, Colbert, Rob Corddrey, Ed Helms, etc) it's the new SNL... just covering real news stories. Really you should tune in. You'd be surprised how much funnier it is today. Rp
  9. Whoa, is there a 7 year baseball strike or something in the future? His years jump from 2022 to 2029. Rp
  10. You're right. I probably should not have thrown that in there. I do however question how anyone can enjoy a movie where the characters are so vague, the dialogue is as non-existent between the key characters and in which the action sequences are the only focus of the movie. Rp
  11. --SOME SPOILERS BELOW-- I watched it after cringing over knowing what they had done to the original Gen 1 Transformers but I tried to keep an open mind. It turns out my major issues were not related to my fondness for the original afterall (although I wasn't pleased about that not too subtle jab of having the Camaro Bumblebee ram it's door into a yellow VW bug at the car lot). 1. There is very little dialogue between the TF. You had a brief interaction to give the names of the Autobots but other than a very brief and head scratching encounter where Megatron says Starscream failed him again (which made no sense in the context of the scene), none of the other Decepticons were even named. The only reason you knew who Scorpinox was was because of all the previews that said so. From the movie you'd never know the names of the tank or chopper robots. 2. All the Decepticons are silver and some of the Autobots too. Very little ingenuity in this concept and impossible to know who was fighting in a large majority of the scenes as they were blurry and fast paced (maybe a way to cover the CG flaws?) and the lack of color made it even more difficult to identify the robots. I only knew it was Jazz that was killed and ripped apart when Optimus said so at the END of the movie. 3. There's an entire scene that stretches an incredibly long masturbation joke out. For that scene alone, I am not going to let my 8-year old see this. He's not quite ready to know about that stuff yet and while many 20 somethings from the original G1 generation are going to this, there are also a lot of Armada and Energon fans that are younger kids and they could have left this out and probably upped the quality of dialogue in the movie a ton. 4. Including the military personalities doesn't make a whole lot of sense nor does the idea of hiding in a city (where, BTW more casualties would occur). They both seem like distractions as it was the Robots that do each other in. Having the military launch a failed attack is fine but getting to know people that have nothing to do with the conclusion of the fight just took dialogue time away from the robots that really needed it and carried the film. 5. As for above I heard the transforming sound once. One time. In the very beginning scene where Scorpinox transformed. That was it. All in all the movie gets a 2.5 out of 5 stars. I put aside all the issues with the G1 disses but Michael Bay doesn't seem to know how to make a coherent movie plot and lengthy dialogue work, so he resorts to explosions and more explosions. I likened the people that enjoyed the movie to kids that enjoy Christmas lights. They're nice to look at but they can get old really quick and shouldn't be the main focus of the real story behind the holiday. Same thing here. This easily could have been better but the script is bogged down with teenage sex innuendo and explosion sequences and fails to understand the value in separating the identities (looks and personalities) of the robots who are the star of the movie and will be the draw for sequels. 12. The only place I was aware of was Hooters on Layton (by 76th) in Greenfield. Romines on 27th only seems to show wrestling PPVs but considering how horrible those have been as of late, maybe they will consider a switch to MMA/Boxing. Rp
  13. Here's a good article that compares this movie with the original TF movie, and expresses many of my feelings about the current one: www.slate.com/id/2169619 And for all the TF fans, you will probably love this comic strip: www.lilformers.com/comic0001.php This links to the first strip, click through "Next" to see more. 14. I have a Hall (White) 2007 Bobble I can trade. Check your PM Rp
  15. 1 Caldwell spoken for. Other bobbles still available. Rp
  16. Actually the script writers said that they made Bumblebee a Camaro because they saw Sam ("Spike") as being an adolecesent boy who would want a cool hot rod car not a VW beatle. The problem I see with this is it negates the point of Bumblebee if you ever watched TF Gen 1. Bumblebee was the solid soldier, the smaller vehicle who was most used in spy situations not in actual combat missions. There's frankly, a ton of issues to have with this movie as a Gen 1 fan (namely why they look like twisted metal and not robots at all, Megatron looks hideous). Rp
  17. So wait she was at a game at Yankees Stadium, where they scream hardcore obscenities at Red Sox players constantly, and someone was offended by a swear word on a tee shirt? Stupid. Rp
  18. Actually I'd rather have him in there throwing... the more innings on his arm the better. Rp
  19. If anyone's interested, hit me with a PM. Rp
  20. 3,000 hits by far. With the frequency of the 35-40 HR season, 500 HR is not a difficult milestone anymore. At least for a star with 15 years under their belt. Rp

  22. Gabe Gross has absolutely dreadful theme music. I fully second this motion. Oh and I love Sevendust "Black"... knowing Counsell's hitting ability I don't think the song switch will help him ever be a decent hitter. Rp
  23. I live on the South side of Milwaukee and last year after moving here I took my son to Wilson Park on the 4th of July. The fireworks were incredibly disappointing. Fireworks from neighboring parks could be seen shooting off in the background before Wilson's started and were still going off long after Wilson's completed. A slow, stalling pace between fireworks and a very short overall display made me believe the park didn't have very many fireworks to begin with. My son is with his Grandmother until the 4th, so the lake fireworks are out. What park then, is the best choice for the Fourth? Keep in mind our south side location. Rp
  24. Hatton's move forward-mauling style would either make Mayweather run all night or trap him and give him issues he's never had before.... That's makes the fight either awesome or terrible with no inbetween. Seeing as I am someone who hates guys like Mayweather who run all the time, I'd definitely want to see Hatton get in there, wrestle him a bit so he can't get away and deck the guy. Smart move by Hatton calling Mayweather out... it certainly helped get him this fight. The only question is weight. While Mayweather fought slightly above his normal against Oscar at 154, Ricky fights at 140 and looked weaker when he moved up for a fight against Collazo last year. Rp
  25. Personally I like Hughes and I like Powell as well. Brewers radio has been blessed for a very long time with the very best in the business. It's too bad we don't have a TV announce team that touches the quality of the radio broadcasts... I just wish there were a way to simulcast the audio (sort of like what they do with SAP) where you can choose the audio for the broadcasting. They seem to do that in Miller Park on their TVs. I'm pretty sure a large majority of Brewers fans would tune out Anderson and Schroeder... which begs the question... wouldn't it be cheaper just to do the audio that way instead of paying two extra guys that most people would rather tune out anyway?
