  1. Well since they averaged 8 against pitchers a lot better than Pineiro I would say we are in good shape.
  2. I think it is a matter of time before they light up Pineiro.. the question is can McClung keep them close enough for it to matter.
  3. All I can say is a gold glove CF makes that play.. Edmonds would have caught it.. it was difficult.. but when your calling card is defensive you need to make those.. especially when they have been few and far between this year.
  4. Yes but now with Sheets and CC I am saying worse case scenario is 1-3 with likely a split before heading home..
  5. Especially one that is 5'10" and looks 15.. of course with the Giants in that heated pennant race you can't blame them for keeping him in.
  6. Hey Cubs fans.. just in case you were wondering Parra is our #3 starter not our ace.. this year at least.
  7. So much for taking advantage of Lincecum's pitch count that inning.
  8. sucks to blow that opportunity but at least lincecum is at 67 pitches after 3...
  9. At this rate what is the odds of Ned starting a lineup of all pitchers..
  10. Just to reiterate for about the millionth tim on BF.Net, MLB's blackout rules absolutely suck.. I would be fine with whatever rules they apply to games I watch for free but when I pay for extra innings it is beyond comprehension they would limit my options.
  11. Of course it might be under blackout rules because the end could run into the ESPN National Game of the week..
  12. I am guessing one of the Home / Away broadcasts will be replaced with the Brewers at 3:05..
  13. The real question is whether he is better option then Joe Dillon. We basically got him for free. I didn't see anybody predicting Hammond or Ford would ever see Miller Park so I am assuming he will replace Dillon. So is the team better with him or Joe Dillon the rest of the year? I like Joe Dillon but Durham will be an upgrade to the team and hopefully light a fire under Rickie. Hall was made about Branyan coming up but it seems to have served it purpose. It bridged a gap of Hall being horrible and now he has started to hit again. Hopefully this can be the same scenario at 2b.
  14. If the Cubs lose tonight that collar will start getting a little tight around the neck. .
  15. come on billy everyone else already has a hit.
  16. Brewers are on an extra base hit roll the last 7 - 10 games.. seeing a single is getting to be rare.
  17. Well I guess Yost got it right by bringing in Riske who says "The 8th is my inning!"
  18. I agree.. I am not sure why there is concern on pitch counts with Sabathia.. we are not the ones that are going to have to pay for it next year anyways..
  19. side benefit of tonight.. the giants bullpen has gone through 4 relievers and the brewers relievers haven't had to take their jackets off.. hopefully Sunday that benefits us.
  20. I don't know why baseball doesn't move into the 21st century and get rid of the official scorer and just have it determined by an Internet vote.. based on the all-star results I think we can all agree that Sabathia would have a no-no going tonight if they did that.
  21. Though now he could end the game with 28 straight outs..
  22. Yes.. you are correct you can't offset 3 months of being horrible with a ground ball single.. If Rickie could hit .300 the rest of the way the Brewers win the division by 5 games if everybody else just plays the way they have been. Unfortunately after the last 3 years I don't have confidence it will happen.
  23. Cameron's OPS is over .800 and his OPS in july is 1.064.. maybe we will get our $6 million worth.
  24. Yes.. I don't know if I am more excited that his average is up to .218 or his OPS is up to .688.. I have serious chills going on here.
  25. The Giants boards must be ready to go after the umps.. if there are any fans left that is.
