  1. Time to hopefully watch Sergio choke away the PGA...
  2. Kapler is either awesome or horrible.. he knows no in between
  3. I think I am going to have to start one of the stupid web sites like fireyednost.com for CV (villypitchesthe8th.com).
  4. Don't know why everyboyd is all over Mota I would take him over Gagne any day of the week.. at the very least I don't feel violated after watching him pitch an inning by watching him act out the Divynls song.
  5. Nice to see Rivera is waiting for a strike unlike the other brewers..
  6. Hardy's degree of difficulty to turn that DP on Friday: 8 Rickie's on that play: 3
  7. Talk about high school 70% of high school 2b can turn a DP better than Rickie
  8. I have a feeling that Kapler will be starting in center tomorrow.
  9. Well it is not like we are are talking Sheets and Harden here.. I am in the camp to pitch him 9 every start and let the Yankees worry about next year's affects.. Plus he doesn't throw a slider so his pitches put a lot less stress on his arm then say Sheets curve.
  10. I am predicting a 7-4 Brewers win to extend their wild card lead.
  11. Sheets is popping the fastball tonight.. 95 already..
  12. I don't blame Ned for that loss.. it is squarely on the hitters who should have been sitting on Rodriguez's curveball.. However, Ned had two chances to give the Brewers a better chance to win then what he chose and he didn't take them.. Did he lose the game? Of course not but he didn't put them in a better position to win.
  13. As someone who regularly defends Yost there is no justification for letting Kendall bat there.. Branyan has to have that at bat.. Very poor choice.. similar to bringing Riske in when you need a strikeout and at that point either McClung or Villy is your best option.
  14. Yeah, I thought it was Sabathia on Monday followed by Sheets on Tuesday. They only go 5 days out and probably haven't updated the site after last night's game yet.
  15. So if the ball was a few feet shorter and he was standing on first on a ball off the wall, you'd be fine with it? That was brutal. He took six steps before he started jogging. And if, if and buts were candy and nuts we would all have a merry christmas.. not to belittle the point that the ball was only out by 10 feet or so and it was a huge hot dog move.. everbody does realize that the guy just hit a game winning home run to complete a 7 game road sweep and the 8th straight win against the most likely team to prevent the Brewers from making the playoffs.. sometimes circumstances overwhelm all logical arguments to the point we can all just say.. "Celebrate Good Times, come on!"
  16. I'm pretty sure Helms will kill us one way or another for as long as the universe is in tact. If we ever face Wes Helms in the playoffs it may be time to go Celtic Pride on him.
  17. Hardy and Braun both break through the .300 barrier.. by the way July OPS: Hardy 1.212 Braun 1.197 You know in the locker room after Hardy will be all over Braun about the .005 lead : )
  18. I renew my push to annoint Villy as 8th inning guy but I think Torres works better a little used. not worn out but tired so the ball gets a little extra sink..
  19. Yes.. folk's these aren't your Jeffrey Hammond's Brewers anymore.. time to change our perspectives.. the Brewers do lead the majors in wins in the last at bat.. not to count this chick before it is hatched but normally they always put themselves in a position to at least tie it before it is all over.
  20. A cubs fan on northside baseball earlier tonight proclaimed "SEASON OVER".. makes our game over discussions seem trivial in comparison.. if I didn't dislike the Cubs so much I would almost root for them to make the wildcard so the suicide rate in Chicago doesn't approach Tokyo.
  21. I solemnly swear to have nothing negative to say tomorrow after the first 6 games of the road trip.. even if they lose 20-0 I will just say "thanks".. now since it isn't tomorrow.. you better bury the Cardinals while you have the chance Brewers!!
  22. I think the difference in this race is going to be the fact that Sabathia throws complete games and Harden usually can only go 6 - 7 because he is made of glass. Look at it already.. Harden and Sabathia have been equally as dominating but Harden is 0-1 and Sabathia is 4-0 because he goes deeper into games and of course a few dingers from the Brewers offense helps.
  23. It is start to smell around here.. Like 1st Place!! Go D-Backs..
  24. Braun is starting to make a run at last year's OPS.. still aways away but broke through .900 with that HR. Nice to see this won't turn into a Jeffrey Hammonds contract.
