  1. Pretty hard to key in on Weeks when the entire team is struggling to hit. .182 .197 .232 .233 .286 .221 .118 1.000 .353 Those are the averages of today's lineup. Six guys hitting .233 or lower. Probably a combination of the miserable weather we've had most of the season, playing mostly on the road and facing a number of good pitchers without really very many bad ones. I agree.. just hoping that weeks turns it around as it seems we have been waiting for years form him to break out and after last September I really thought he would have a big year. Plus if you leadoff hitter is on all the time all the others players seem to hit better.
  2. What does it say about his start this season when my thought at the end of last inning was: Well at least we got a hit to get through Ricky so he isn't leading off the next inning.
  3. I hope he doesn't have a day off for the rest of the year as that means they have the lead in the 9th every game : ) Plus he is only here for a year so who care if we burn him out..
  4. Or maybe he thought he was in bizarro world since off the plate has been a strike all day he figured down the middle was a ball
  5. Nice game by Mota.. also I would argue that neither Yed or Shouse is the main problem with this games. The pitchers have kept the Reds to 3 runs in this softball field. Any loss is on the offense..
  6. I think there is a group of fans who are willing to crucify Ned no matter what he does.. now I know there were people that were against the move when it happened but either way if Votto hits a HR vs. Shouse or Suppan, there will be 3 - 4 pages talking about what a dumb decision.
  7. I agree.. Shouse has to get the lefty out there.. Votto much more likely to go yard against suppan... this one is on Shouse.
  8. I can see that argument but Shouse is a better option against Votto... If Suppan gives up a bomb to Votto there would be 10 pages instead of 5 on this thread describing how he should have pulled him.
  9. Cannot believe we got to get rid to to sign Kendall and they threw in Mota as well.
  10. If Suppan would end the year at his current ERA (3.91) I would call it a win.
  11. One comment on Fielder's weight.. it really makes very little different to the Brewers as he will only be here until 2011 at the latest as no way Boras doesn't let him go to Free Agency.. so his next team can worry about his weight.
  12. Either Gameday is broken or the ump's glasses are as Gameday is repeatedly showing strikes nowhere near the zone.
  13. Yes.. Cameron will add the spectactular play element back to the OF.. I also have to say that Fielder has played well at first this year.
  14. Those ones call inside to Encarcion were questionable after the one to Braun for strike 3 ..
  15. Isn't the IGT much more entertaining and enjoyable with a 5-0 lead and nobody from last July/August bullpen pitching.
  16. If Sheets takes one off the shin like that he is out for the year.. probably a full knee replacements or amputation..
  17. Ah yes, let the trashing and insults begin! Like flies to wanton boys is Sheets, they kill him for sport! (Sorry Bill) Yes.. I fully understand I am being unreasonable and overreacting, however, I am still so mad he couldn't suck it up last September, especially after watching Radke in MN throw all season with a torn shoulder to try to get the Twins in the playoffs.. I will still aruge with anyone that when healthy he is a top 5 - 10 pitcher in the NL but I have little faith in him making an entire year healthy or not playing through pain to get the Brewers in the playoffs so until he proves me otherwise I reserve the right to be a big baby about it.. : )
  18. Sheet's new nickname: Mr Glass.. I was suprised to hear it was tightness in his triceps.. his hair was looking shaggy.. I figured he couldn't pitch because he found some split ends like last September.
  19. Ok.. but that includes his "red-shirt' year.. what is OBP hitting in the 2nd spot since the beginning of last year versus Gross, I think you would see a radically different comparison.
  20. He would be Cy Young in a wiffle ball league..
  21. This year I wish our batter's job was to not swing at the curveball low and away... the Team OPS would jump 150 points.
  22. I disagree.. that was on the inside corner maybe even off an inch or so.. it hit the mitt but Molina shifted inside.
  23. Just pointing out that it isn't like he has 0 HR's and no rbi's right now.. plus I like OPS as much as the next guy but last time I looked they still keep score by runs as in Runs batted in and home RUN
  24. though I never saw a bad jenkins on pace for 38 HR's. and 112 RBI's.
