    You are right I can't find a spec of logic in your argument so I have no ability to follow it. For you to agree with the Bucks comment just confirms that. I think that fact the Yost has buried Turnbow says a lot. Last year he didn't have anyone else. Also his willingness to bring Riske in early in games this years speaks well for him. Mota was the best option there unless you want to burn up Riske with a 1/3 of an inning. Now you could argue Gagne could have came in to finish or if they brought Riske in he could have stayed to pitch the 9th which are valid arguments but otherwise you can't really argue with the logic or the result though you keep trying.

    whatever.. the previous 2 pages were all about how if he doesn't take out Mota he is an idiot and in fact it worked out.. that is all I am saying... it is pretty bad when he gets ripped when his strategy works out. bullpens make all managers look dumb...

    That assessment is pretty much right on. Edit: Except things often end with flurry of curse words rather than a "phew". Actually I liken it to when I used to ref 4th grade basketball.. the parents watching used to complain about the coach, refs, etc.. and thought they knew more than anybody else even though they had the least experience and knowledge.

    Phenomenal managing.. if everybody is going to jump on Yost when a player doesn't do his job I guess we have to give him all the credit when a player comes through..

    Well.. first Riske has been up already so he is warm... most likely Yost is holding him off because he is trying to avoid burning him for a 1/3 of a inning and then only have Turnbow and McClung if Gagne blows it..

    Yes then you can say any series against the Giants, Pirates, or Nationals you throw him a start and rest one of the young trio.

    Do we just assume its going to be Bush to pen or has some statement been made about this? My theory is that it makes sense to keep Parra and Villy in the pen because they are better starters. Then throughout the year you can give Bush some spot starts to rest Yo, Villy, and Manny to keep their innings down and you have an upgrade over McClung in the pen.

    Yes might as well bring turnbow in for 2.. if it is bad Derek than McClung can finish up. If is good Derek then you can go Torres / Mota / Gagne way to beat me to the Bush comment

    I was thinking the same thing. Complaining that Suppan is in or get pissed when McClung comes in. There is no right answer. He got out of this inning but still it is not the rightway of doing it. At least by next Sunday we will be able to bring Bush into these types of games.

    Why would you waste an out by trying to bunt against Suppan right now? He isn't fooling anybody.

    as great as that inning was: 1st inning: 1 Run 2nd inning: 2 Runs 3rd Inning: 3 Runs Don't like the direction Suppan is going.

    Kendall is making game weight with all the crow I am having to eat.. I recommend it grilled with Baby Ray's BBQ Sauce.

    If we had a D playing behind him he is out of the inning a long time ago. He hasn't ptiched great but all these extra outs that we give certainly does not help the pitcher at all. He needs to pitch a couple more innings to save some innings from the bullpen. They should have still made the plays but except for Castillo the Mets are tatooing the ball.. both the one to Rickie and Prince...
