  1. My prediction for rest of the inning.. Sac fly Single Walk Lineout Brewers win in the bottom.
  2. Would Turnbow be the first all-star closer benched before the all-star game.. he is making a strong case to move into middle relief..
  3. I guess I was assuming the odds were better of a Hart Steal / Hall Hit then a hall / Jenkins hit.. My new theory is if the game is on the line security should walk the following people out of the park if they are on the team: Jenkins Moeller Winkelsas DeMaria Hendrickson Eveland
  4. What was the chant in Major League when they wanted willie Mays Hayes to steal? He Corey: Go...Go...Go..Go..
  5. Wow.. talk about a perfect game for the Moeller / Jenks bashers to have a field day. Now if DLR could come of the DL to load the bases and Winkelsas could come back to give up a grand slam we would be set.
  6. Ok.. when Henry Blanco is hitting 25 points higher than your catcher what does that tell you... Henry FREAKIN Blanco....
  7. I had to jump in just to see the anger towards Chad.. I was at work and someone mentioned that bases loaded and Moeller was up with 1 out and I said well that is a double play waiting to happen... The bring Rivera up bandwagon is one I am glad I jumped on early this season.
  8. I wonder if Ned still likes this lineup...
  9. I agree.. I was just wondering if Ned had an "official" reason. The brewers seem to go out of the way to reason why subs get in rather than say .. he Jenkins hits lefties like my sister so we decided maybe the guy hitting .370 should get a shot.
  10. I might have missed it posted somewhere but did they give a reason that Gross got another start over Brady?
  11. So do you think they walk Hall to get to Jenkins? I mean I would but then I have scouted Jenkins all year.
  12. Two nice things about Rogers: - When he was struggling mightily the brewers brass and scouts kept saying "be patient when he figures it out he will really figure it out" and that looks to be right. - They seem to have used the same criteria for selecting him they did Jeffers which is a good sign.
  13. So the only question is when Baseball America comes out with it's next project hot sheet who is the top spot Gallardo or Rogers... too bad Inman is out or the Brewers could have captured the top three spots.. Great week for Brewer pitching when you add in Villenueva's and Jackson's starts along with Dillard and Hammond..
  14. Time for Big Shot Bill to put the game away..
  15. What innings.. he burnd up Capellan yesterday... so that means he has 7 other pitchers to use.. that said.. I have no problem letting Jackson pitch through it.. my only problem with Yost is letting "tired" pitchers continued.. it is one thing to give up a HR another to walk 2 guys to set up a rally..
  16. Unlike some confusion by BF.net members on what a great at bat is.. that is an example.. battles and battles and the end result is not a strikeout..
  17. For that matter is Sarfate proving that he miht be a better option than Winkelsas... The Twins have shown that it works well to break in pitchers by starting them out of the bullpen... Maybe less pressure than throwing them in as starters..
  18. I know this is out there but when does Parra start being an option for the Brewer bullpen this year.. . He has already pitched well at AA and needs to have his innings monitored anyway... better left hand option then Shouse
  19. Secret to bullpen success Capellan 26-20, Kolb 17-15. pitches - strikes so far.. it just is not that hard to figure out sometimes..
  20. Encouraging to see the bullpen come in and give the Brewers a chance...
  21. So our expectations for him have dropped so far that instead of being excited about a hit or at least glad for a hard out we are satisfied with a strikeout where he fouled off some pitches?
  22. But they have plenty to PH there.. there is 3 on the bench..
  23. I 100% agree if you are leading and maybe if you are tied.. but right now the most important thing is to score 2 runs.. shutting out the cardinals the last 2 innings does no good if you can't score..
  24. I agree with that assessment but Cirillo, Miller, and Hart are on the bench.. and there are only 2 PH opportunities left between now and then end of the ninth so what are they waiting for? the 0.001% chance they will run out of PH in the 13th inning? Fine let the pitcher hit then.. I think Wise or Villenueva would be fine in the 8th..
