  1. I agree... I don't think the answer is on some other team.. Obviously there is talent at Nashville... it is just figuring out what combination is going to work.. Though I am leaning towards not sending Eveland done but moving him to the bullpen... I think he is a better option than half the group there... bring him and Sarfate in there and then you at least have some power arms (Sarfate, Capellan, DLR, and Eveland) to go with Wise and Turnbow
  2. I have a feeling walk up sales the rest of his homestand will be yearly lows..
  3. Dan Kolb who was doing is best Jeremi Gonzalez impersonation.. who was doing his best Mabeus impersonation who was doing his best Demaria impersonation who was doing his best Lehr impersonat.. Why have 13 pitchers we just need a hybrid pitcher Kolbalezeusarialehr and pitch him everyday.. the results are the same.. We can use this pitcher to relieve whenever evelicksonrosa starts.. How sad when you get so excited to here Rick Helling news.
  4. We complaint about pitching but our top 5 hitters are 1 - 14 so far..
  5. I agree why not give Sarfate a shot at long reliever at least he has some upside you know you have Garbage with Gonzalez..
  6. Yeah.. I think that you have to bring jackson up.. you can afford to let Eveland and DLR learn up here if you are 20 games under .500 or have 4 other solid starters but they need to stem the bleeding.. if DLR struggles I think you almost have to bring up Jackson and Hendrickson to fill the 4 and 5 spots..
  7. after corey lines a double here does he move past Gross on the PH list? Even more important when Hardy comes back does this mean Hart stays? Edit: Even with a single I think he has moved past Gross..
  8. Know what the most frustrating part of this year is? I can accept when the kids struggle (eveland, hendrickson, DLR, Capellan, etc..) I mean even Maddux got knocked around early in his career but this is where the veteran pitcher's on your stuff (Davis, Gonzalez, Lehr) are supposed to be a stabilizing force. Of course you would think one of the kids would break through...
  9. Reason #200663 why I am not qualified to be a major league manager? I would have run out of bats to shatter my pitchers elbows with so I wouldn't be forced to use them in a game. After today's performance I might be tempted to break both Gonzalez's elbows..
  10. 6 losses obviously sucks but it would at least be explainable if it was to houston / St. Louis or at stupid petco but to Pittsburgh and the Nationals? Seriously? They might as well schedule KC to give the royals fans some hope.. just pathetic..
  11. That is what I get for assuming Gonzalez could stop the bleeding... What did we give up for him? A case of brats? We overpaid..
  12. If they get out of this I think they get 1 back in the bottom... especially if they let Cirillo pinch hit.
  13. l cannot believe I have to watch Gonzalez pitch for the crew.. I thought we were through with this when they finally jettisoned Franklin and Kinney...
  14. I know Toby is very excited about Garrison.. is there a reason they let him go into the 7th? I thought there were piggybacking in West Virginia.. I know they have been taking it easy with Inman..
  15. Has anybody heard whether Parra has regained his stuff or if the Brewers are considering this a throw away year to get healthy and next year will determine whether he is still a pospect? I have given up on Mike Jones at this point.. when the GM starts questioning your toughness, start packing your bags.
  16. Nice to get out of that.. this is where we need Lee/Fielder to drop the hammer..
  17. I don't know if you call 5.1 innings and 4 - 6 ER's valiant.. unless you are grading on a Ben Hendrickson scale..
  18. is there some MLB rule that says when the 5th hitter has an 60 point higher batting average than the 3 hitter that Ned is forced to make a switch?
  19. atta boy Brady.. way to get the pitcher up
  20. April 1st: Doug Melvin: What would it take to sign Doug? Davis' Agent: 5 years 50 million. Doug: Let us think about it. May 1st: Doug: We were thinking 2 years 14 million Davis' Agent: 2 years 14.5 million May 15th: Davis' Agent: We will take 2 years 14 million. Doug: We actually were thinking 2 years 9 million. Davis': Let's see what happens with Doug's next to starts.. Tonight: Davis' Agent: So we agree to the veteran's minimum for 5 years correct? Doug: Are you sure that you can't find a birth certificate that shows Davis is a rookie so we can pay him according to the way he is pitching?
  21. Apparently Doug missed the memo that he is supposed to be on a salary drive...
  22. Well he did give up 2 runs but really only gave up 1 hit.. not bad...
  23. By the way Rivera hit another HR at nashville and is only hitting .381.. I think it is time Moeller gets a Tennessee mailing address.
