  1. I just want to see them get to the pitcher's spot this inning so that they can't accidentally let Lehr pitch another inning...
  2. Watching De La Rosa pitch is like lining your family up in front of a firing squad with blindfolds on. In that case they would be safe as all the bullets would be wide..
  3. How can you be down to a team with Mark Bellhorn hitting cleanup?
  4. So on ESPN Gamecast it shows Fielder popping up to third. On MLB Gameday it says a line driver to third.. Who would have thought there was inconsistent info on the Internet.. I am this close to buying MLB Season Ticket again.. sure at all the Season Ticket Anonymous meetings I said I was done off it for good but let's be honest Brewers are finally competitive again how can you not watch?
  5. Does JDLR only pitch well when the Brewers are losing? You know it is opening week when you get your ERA under 10.. what? It is mid - May?
  6. Since I was already going off on Moeller don't you think Ned has to start him on Pink Bat Day? I mean if a player ever fit a promotion.. And yes I think it is a great promotion and while the reason for it is serious the potential jokes are endless.
  7. Getting shut out for the 4th time this season already would be unacceptable as well I agree that is frustrating but you can kind of expect it with such a young team.. On the positive side they are second in the NL in batting and first in home runs and Clark, Hardy, Jenkins, and Weeks have not gotten hot yet.. I was going to add Moeller in there but I wanted to be taken seriously.
  8. Think about it.. going from pitching in the Ballpark in Arlington to Petco must be like going to dinner for the first time at your girlfriend's parents only to find out her dad is Hugh Hefner and dinner is at the Playboy mansion.
  9. Yeah.. it is great when this is considered a "bad" outing.. of course they need to change the quality start rules for Petco to be 8 innings less than 2 runs.. I mean Chan Ho Park is throwing a shutout.. i need to break out my wool socks since something must be freezing over..
  10. So odds on who pinch hits to lead off next inning: Moeller 1 million : 1 Gross 10 :1 Hardy 4:1 Cirillo 6:5
  11. Thanks for saving the bullpen Brady.. if you get on Cappy gets pinch hit for... always two steps ahead of everybody else..
  12. Just think the Brewers options at third base include Bill Hall, Cory Koskie, and Jeff Cirillo... The padres: Vinny Castilla that makes me chuckle.. don't know why it just does..
  13. It should not take a 402 foot hit to get out of a ballpark to right-center. A ballpark also should not have beaches. even better they built this stupid thing at sea level.. so that is like a what 430 shot in Coors Field... Might as well put a flag pole out there.. right the Astros already had that great idea..
  14. All the while walking 4 and hitting 3 batters. He's put on 7 in 6 innings with no hits given up. Our own Mitch Williams.. load the bases.. strike out the side.. Anybody agree with pinch hitting for Cappy here.. he is at 86 pitches and probably only has 1 inning anyway.. plus we do have 13 pitchers (14 if you count Bill Hall http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif)
  15. Since it looks like we will see the Brewers bullpen shortly is there anybody who believe Sarfate can't be more effective than Lehr or Fernandez? He is only throwing a no-hitter tonight for Nashville.
  16. This is really what is keeping Cappy from being a good pitcher to an elite pitcher... it is the tendency to start to nibble and not go right at each hitter... I can't think of an elite pitcher in the last 10 years outside of Tom Glavine that nibbles.. When he goes after hitters he gives up the occasional home run but is so much effective. Plus considering he is pitching in Yellowstone tonight and his name is not the Wild Thing he probably can get away with throwing it underhand.
  17. So anybody remember the movive Little Big League where the kid inherits the twins and becomes the manager. And he thinks his hero is starting to play well until he is reminded that if you get excited on a seeing eye single that probably means it is time for change. That is where I am at with Brady... people mention Weeks and Hardy.. the difference is second year players 22 years old get better.. veteran role players in their 30's do not.. (unless you have Barry Bonds doctor)
  18. It would probably be less frustrating to watch than De La Rosa..
