  1. I can't imagine what Attanasio is thinking right now? It sounds like he gets emotionally charged for each game like us die-hards on this message board. I can't imagine he is liking what he saw this weekend. If this continues through this road trip, I have a feeling there is going to be a rather unhappy new owner.
  2. Hoffy, You forgot to mention Yost's favorite line - "We really battled today!"
  3. Well, Just when i thought this season couldn't get anymore depressing, this trainwreck happens. Man, I am really starting to lose all optimism for this team. I realize it's a long season, but i was really hoping for a good start. Now we take this 5 game losing streak into one of our toughest road trips on the schedule this season. Boys, we better turn this around quickly, or we are in for another long Brewers season. Why can't we ever catch any breaks with this franchise??
  4. Is there a reason Phelps is still on this team? It's time for Yost to give him his walking papers. Bring up Bennett! Man this game has ruined my day.
  5. I hate to be the pessimist, but if this game goes extras, game over - Dodgers win.
  6. This will be a TOUGH one to swallow if we end up losing this game in extra innings! Ughhh!
  7. My bad. Your right, Saturday is a day game as well. That may hurt attendance, especially if it is a nice day in Milwaukee as people might want to stay home and work outside.
  8. So what does everyone think about attendance this weekend? I am really hoping that all three of these games will be over the 25k mark? Unfortunately, i have a feeling we are probably looking at about 20k tonight, 25k saturday night, and 20k Sunday. I hope I'm wrong and we are in the 25-30k for all three, but I doubt it. I'm sure there will be a fair share of Card fans in attendance which should help out. Should be an exciting weekend of baseball.
  9. OK, we have two chances to score the run now! Don't screw up Lee and Jenks!!
  10. So, do you hit away with Overbay against the lefty or lay down the bunt? I would say hit away since they would just walk Lee to face Jenkins with first base open. Right?
  11. Seriously, can we not find a team that will give us a bucket of balls and a box of chewing gum for Wes Helms? Man, he sucks!
  12. Damn't Uecker! I hate when he gets me excited only to hear him say that it was caught at the wall! Ughhhh!
  13. Anybody able to provide some updates throughout this game today? Thanks in advance.
  14. Did mlb.com take Wes Helm's picture after Ned informed him that he wouldn't be the starting 3B on opening day. Wow, he didn't look too happy in that picture. Funny stuff.
  15. I stand corrected! I guess i spoke too soon by predicting the loss a few minutes ago. If what i saw is correct, Moeller hit a walk off three run homer to win. WOW, i didn't know Chad was capable of such a feat. Then again, it is spring training. I hope he can do that at least once during the season.
  16. Looks like yet another loss, and another loss thanks to our bullpen. At least we can tag this loss onto a guy that we know won't be on the major league team (and I guy that i have never even heard of before). Great outing by Cappy!
  17. Did Cappy pitch the 6th inning as well, or did someone else come in? Who's pitching the seventh? And yes, I think Cappy just locked himself into the #3 hole! Congrats Chris.
  18. All right Cappy, let's save some of this for the Cub game next week, buddy!
  19. I'm actually way more concerned with our bullpen, defense, and base running, than I am concerned about our offense.
  20. Let's all say a prayer that we can get this kind of production out of Cappy during the regular season, and most importantly that he can remain healthy. I really liked what i saw out of him last year when he wasn't on the DL. If he stays healthy and pitches like this, we will at least have three solid pitchers in our rotation, which is a lot better than most seasons over the last 13 years.
  21. Yeah, if we lose to this Angels lineup today, I will officially sound the pannic button! Especially if our pitching staff gives up more than 5-6 runs to these guys. Actually, maybe more like 3-4 runs. It's basically our major league starters vs. Angels AAA team. We need to win boys!
  22. This is ridiculous!! My optimism for this season is quickly sliding away. First I get the privelidge of watching that mess on Sunday night, then I read about the mess yesterday, and now another mess today. Throw in the fact that Miller gets hit in the hand with a pitch today and "may" be a bad injury, and things are not looking pretty! Oh, and our bullpen might be the worst in major league history. Yuck! Let's hope Miller isn't hurt bad, and that everything straightens out early next week when things start up for real.
  23. I really didn't enjoy seeing Adams get shelled last night either. Granted he should have been out of that inning if he had any defense behind him, but the Rangers hit some rockets off of him during that inning. I'll chalk that up as just one bad outing for now, but i hope it doesn't happen too often once the regular season starts.
  24. I haven't been listening to today's game, so I really don't know who all of these runs are coming off of, but it appears that our bullpen will be a major concern this year. I know it's just spring training, but I think we may be missing Kolb, Viscy (I never thought i would say this) more than what we originally thought. Hope I'm wrong!
