When's the last time we actually held a lead in a spring training game? Man, it seems like a week ago! I'm sure it isn't but c'mon boys, lets get a lead and hold it for a change.

    You da man - ja002!!!

Wheel and LV, thanks for your updates. Although I certainly don't like the 8-0 hole that Victor has given us. Anybody else getting a tad concerned with Victor in the #3 hole this year. Also, I'm getting a little concerned with our now 5-12 record this spring since starting off 5-0. I hope we can get hot the last week of spring and carry that over into the regular season.

I'm feeling awfully lost today without the running box score? Anybody want to throw us working people a bone and keep us updated today? Much appreciated!
  5. madtownbrew
Is there a reasonable explanation for all of the pick offs so far this spring? It seems like every time we get a guy on base, they get picked off!

Sorry for being an idiot, but what is up with the Nintendo 64 reference for Overbay?
  7. madtownbrew
How did we give up the three runs?

Anyone that is listening today, care to give us non-listeners (not by choice of course) a play by play on this thread? Would be very much appreciated!

My bad, I guess Capuano and Capellan are pitching in Maryvale today. I'm confusing myself today i guess.

Scoop, I thought both "Cappy's" were pitching in the Oakland game, not the Mariner's game?
  11. madtownbrew
As far as i know, yes they both will be available to listen on the internet. The Brewers - M's game with Sutton, and the Brewers - A's game with the A's crew.

Man, I can't wait for this afternoon! Baseball season is finally here! The only question is...which game do I listen to? I want to listen to Capellan pitch against the A's, but how can you turn your back from Krynzel, Weeks, Hardy, etc. going up against the M's. I guess i might have to go back and forth as best as i can.

If you would have told me at the all star break that it would take until September 2nd for Sheets to pick up win #10, i literally think i would have spit in your face. Unbelievable! Hopefully, he can finish off the year strong and finish with 13 wins.

2-1 Cubs. Game Over! Way to go Viscy! Blew another one for us. Is there a reason we held onto this guy at the trade deadline?
  15. madtownbrew
Unfortunately, this is the type of lineup you have to deal with when you have the lowest payroll in the Major Leagues. It really sucks, but until we start spending money or bringing up our prospects, this is the card we are dealt.

Any chance the Mets will do a straight up trade - Helms for Wright?? C'mon both of them were big time prospects coming out of the minor leagues! Ah, sometimes i humor myself! That kid definitely looks like the real deal. I hope some of our prospects look this impressive when they make it up to the bigs.

Heck, Plating 3/10 runners is a good day for the Brewers. What are you talking about?
  18. madtownbrew
I know I'm probably just talking stupid right now after another pathetic offensive showing my the Brewers, but let's bring up Krynzel right now while he is hot and see what the kid can do. I know this will never happen, and probably shouldn't, but anything is better than what we have right now.

What happened to that team we had back in May that was getting clutch hits all over the place, and where no lead was ever safe against us. You know, the "don't leave early" crew? Man, this looks like a totally different ball club right now.
  20. madtownbrew
Well, time to say bye bye to Doug's era!! I can't believe Yost has kept him in this long.
  21. madtownbrew
anybody listening to the Indy game? Any updates on Krynzel or Hart. Looks like another rough outing for Obie as the score is tied at 5-5.
  22. madtownbrew
When does Rogers pitch again? Shouldn't his turn be coming up real soon?
  23. madtownbrew
According to sports network, it looks like our man Parra has pitched two scoreless/hitless frames thus far. Anybody with any first hand updates from the radio feed?
  24. madtownbrew
Anyone planning on listening today that could provide inning updates on Manny's outing today for those of us at work that are unable to tune in? It would be great appreciated.

These past two games have probably been two of the most disappointing games of the season. Were having a great homestand against good competition, and then we lose the last two games against the worst team in the NL. To make matters worse, we score a whopping 8 runs in three games against the worst pitching staff in the NL (maybe the entire mlb?) Very disappointing, especially with a tough series in Minny this weekend. This could be the start of a bad slide for this team unless if the Offense pulls it's collective head out of it's a$$. Man, I'm pissed!
