  1. It's disappointing that the offense couldn't get at least a couple runs for Burns.
  2. I don't see why McNeal shouldn't be taken in the 2nd round, if he's there. I hope Flynn is available at 10, otherwise I wouldn't mind Holliday.
  3. The following is a blog post from a friend of mine who is on my high school baseball team: "An article posted in the Badger Herald (Madison's school newspaper) back in 2007 explained that the reason Madison doesn't have an NCAA Baseball team is because of the poor turnout they had back in the '80s. Another reason would be because the school would be forced to add another women's sport. I, personally, play varsity baseball for Fond du Lac High School. My top three schools are UW-Milwaukee, UW-Oshkosh, and UW-Madison. Why is Madison #3? No baseball. Wisconsin football is always very well supported. Between the merchandise, tickets, etc. it's one of the best programs in the country. Wisconsin basketball has also had a great turnout at the Kohl Center, and is one of the best programs in the country. Wisconsin is already a great school for academics, and the athletic program is booming. Brewers games are being sold out left and right. The Timber Rattlers are a part of the Brewers' minor-league system. Wisconsin, believe it or not, is becoming a great baseball state, and would receive plenty of support. As for the addition of another women's sport, how about Gymnastics? Chellsie Memmel, an Olympian, is from West Allis. There are plenty of great gymnasts around the state, and it's not like the best gymnastics schools have huge turnouts at the events. Georgia, the best gymnastics school in the nation, only had around 200 fans per meet before their dynasty began in the early 1980's. Sure, now they average about 10,000 an event, but they've also won 5 straight National Championships. The bottom line is: It wouldn't be a bad idea to start the baseball program back up at Madison. It's a shame that I personally cannot attend the great school because I want to pursue a career in baseball. I'm sure plenty others feel the same way." I think he has an excellent point, and he's thinking about sending this to the UW Athletic Dept. What do you guys think?
  4. That Aflac Trivia question was quite easy....even I got it. Ugh, a couple line outs won't help...
  5. That was actually a great call by the first base ump. Props for getting the call right. EDIT: Sorry guys for all the double posts...just a little amped up here. (not to mention it's a day game and the IGT isn't busy)
  6. What day isn't the offense asleep right now? They have been a pathetic bunch of losers lately. That's a little harsh, isn't it? Considering the team put up 32 runs in the Cleveland series, just a week ago, I'd say it's just a funk they're in.
  7. UGH! Came all the way back, just to lose him...please lets get a DP and at least one of those runs back next inning.
  8. You jinxed it! EDIT: Did anyone notice that the guy in the press box gave that baseball to the older woman rather than the little boy? I kinda had to drop my jaw at that.
  9. Comedy Central doesn't do it justice. Go rent or buy it.True. What I should've said is: If you want to watch it with the kids, parents, grandparents, etc. watch it on Comedy Central. If you like profanity and other inappropriate "stuff".
  10. I agree 100% with you there, Jim. I'm disinterested in pretty much all of the reality shows.
  11. That sounds like a plan. My mindset just went from negative to positive in a flash. Not sure if we'd be able to pair the Ridnour trade with the proposed Amare trade, but that would raise my interest 1000%
  12. I don't think we would trade CV, Gadz, and #10 for Amare.... If that's a confirmed report, I would also be thrilled. It would actually be a positive move for the Bucks.
  13. It just thunderstormed here in Fond du Lac for about 2 minutes. It's now back to sunny and hot. Why must we be teased!?
  14. I have 2 tickets for Sunday's game that I am willing to give away. They are section 102, row 4, seats 3 & 4. I only ask that I get both of the bobbleheads. I cannot make the game due to plans being changed. I can send the tickets via mail. I want to make sure these tickets go to Brewers fans who will enjoy them.
  15. Waiting is hilarious, but, as previously stated, is not a family friendly movie at all. It's been on Comedy Central quite a bit lately, if you're curious.
  16. IT'S TREVOR TIME!!!! (man, i've been waiting to say that for a LONG time)
  17. It was just a salary dump. A poor salary dump, though...Bowen might help the defense and Oberto and Thomas will deepen the bench. This will hopefully allow us to re-sign both Charlie V and Sessions, and sign both our draft picks.
  18. That makes 3 in a row...
  19. I've received 5 1/2 and 3 hours the past two weeks at work. It's summer, and my schedule is wide open. I'm getting less hours now then when I was in school. This bugs the living heck out of me.
  20. I have the TV turned to FOX, but they keep mentioning the KC-STL game as the premier game, but it's raining. Are we not gonna get the Crew today and be forced to watch the Royals-Cards? EDIT: Never mind, it's on.
