I swear this team leaves the bases loaded every other game.

I wonder how many runs we've given up because of Ed Sedar. First and third with one out and we end up getting nothing.

Runner on third with no outs and we can't plate Schafer. Sad business.

#1. Ramirez just can't catch a break. #2. How long until some moves start to be made? Tired of seeing guys who are struggling (Rickie, Gonzalez, Lucroy, Yuni, etc.) in the lineup every day. Perhaps if we would've spent a little in the offseason to bring in some legit help off the bench... #3. As for the pitching, we knew this was going to be a train wreck. I'm pretty sure RR and everyone in the front office knew it too. Coming off of a year in which we had a mediocre-at-best pitching staff, you'd think the problem would've been addressed a little bit more than signing Kyle Lohse, Burke Badenhop, Tom Gorzelanny and Mike Gonzalez. It's like we picked up all the toys that none of the other teams wanted to play with anymore.

I'll be so glad when Corey is back. ...until he starts out the year hitting .220. EDIT: Boy, the Pirates must be feeding off of our pessimism. Once again, it seems like a two-run deficit is going to be impossible to overcome.

But yet Rickie gets the error because he rushed the throw. What could've been a great, inning-ending play turns into an error and another run. Two run lead with one of the best closers in the league right now = see ya tomorrow night, folks. Yeesh this team is hard to watch right now. Hope they can pull another 9-game winning streak out of their arses!

After putting up such a nice team effort in game one, these guys look like they just wanna get out of town. Hope they realize it won't get any easier....[sarcasm]should be a fun series in St. Louis![/sarcasm]

Saw that as well. Thought either the picture on my TV was taking a poop (which would be a shame since it's not even a year old) or I was hallucinating. Pittsburgh must have a new "Fight Club" attraction at the ballpark this season. Except nobody knows about it since, well...you know.

Forgot your sarcasm font. Apparently our bench needs a rest as well as Burgos hits for himself in the top half but yet Roenicke (finally) makes the pitching change for the bottom half.

I find a lot of the terms in football odd and confusing especially since I never played organized football. "Play action" is a good example. Some others: Crack back block Flanker nickle (back, coverage, defense) dime - this one is really confusing because it really has nothing to do with the number 10 (does it?) tackle (as a noun, not a verb - how can someone on offense be a tackle?) Quarterback, Halfback, Fullback - not so much the names, but where they line up. In the normal eye formation - Shouldn't the guy behind the quarterback be the halfback and then the guy behind him be the fullback (logically). Draw play Flat Post Pattern Bubble screen Tailback - why does there need to be 3 different terms for the same position? (half back, running back) Trap block Off Tackle I'm always amazed when I'm watching a game with someone who is more knowledgeable about football that I am (does not take much), and they know right away if there are not enough or too many men on the field (how?) or they say something like "Wow did you see that Block?!"..uhh no..I was watching the guy with the ball. A trap block is when an offensive lineman "pulls" (from his set position) down the line and hits a defensive lineman who was at first unblocked.

Glad to see Soup pitch well today, even though it WAS the Pirates, we really needed the quality start.

They can call it "Death on Wheels." Seriously, I wouldn't be able to last a week listening to a Cubs and a Yankees fan gloat about how "great" their team is. Also, I do believe the Yankee and Red Sox fan would end up fighting to the death.
