1. I mean, 60 games, each one's value seemingly magnified, and this is what we trot out with expanded rosters? I really don't get it.
2. Embarrassing. Predictable.
3. ^This! Nate Boyer literally told him to kneel. I don't need to rehash the situation but Kaep took himself out of the league when he opted out of his employment agreement that he already had. It's my opinion that if he plays in 2017 under the contract he agreed to, he would have found a suitor in 2018 and beyond. Totally an opinion, but his choice to be unemployed, atleast for 2017 is on him alone. There is no guarantee or requirement of the workforce towards anyone. All of that said, nationalism is a very cool thing, but to me, it's very much a "worry about myself" moment. I don't look around me and worry about how other people are tending to their own nationalism. It's a moment of reflection for myself. Kneeling, not removing your hat, not covering your heart, not singing along, etc. isn't disrespectful to the flag, the anthem, the country, the military, or otherwise. If we can focus on ourselves and being kind to others, then none of this becomes a concern.
4. 88% of the schedule is pre-determined years in advance. Only two games are determined by previous year's results. Not directed at you specifically and maybe you weren't alluding that winning a super bowl should result in a more difficult schedule, but it's my rant that I must have heard this 50 times this week that "the NFL always gives XYZ an easy or difficult schedule." The opponents have been decided for I believe, 8 years on a rotation, minus 2 games. It's just the way the chips fell. The AFC North away and the AFC South at home. The Ravens obviously hurt their SOS, but the Texans were not all that much to write home about record-wise as the adjoining 1st place finisher.
5. I've resigned myself to the notion that they'll take the 3rd best remaining interior 1-technique DT in the first round. In that way, I'll be satisfied if they do anything besides that and Long Snapper.
6. I generally agree that MLB wouldn't do that, but I'm not sure viewership would fall if some other team was crowned AL West Champions instead. I personally will not watch Astros games on account of this. Not looking for my stance to have an impact. Let Fox Sports Houston sue MLB if they feel that strongly about their lost revenue.
7. The Chiefs may have something to say about that. I'm never going to question the OP.
8. Does Minnesota believe they will even get 3 more possessions; punting with 9 mins to go?
9. yea! More eyeroll hyperbole! Wonderful! I personally don't think the 3-point defense is poor, I just don't like watching the scheme they deploy. Which I've explained ad nausem.

11. LOL ... is this a joke? They are 6-1 since that game. Or are you that fan who thinks they should be winning every game by 50? Not a joke. Not really looking at record. Don't need the hyperbole of winning by 50. They just appear lost for 3/4s of each game.

13. Bucks look lost since being taken behind the woodshed by Philly.

15. Did Gronk file retirement papers with the NFL? I honestly don't know. Perhaps there's a deadline to file for reinstatement for the current season if one is a formally retired player. That's really all I can think of. My wife is a Patriots fan, so I unfortunately know the scenario well...as I heard about it ad nausem for weeks. 1. Gronk restructured his deal in the 2017 offseason, so he had a contract that ran through the 2019 season, 9M for 2019. 2. Gronk DID retire and since his deal was not up, he was placed on retired/reserve list. 3. Gronk's placement on retired/reserve list freed up $9M in salary cap space but they did have a nominal $2M in dead money. 4. If Gronk un-retired, he would be bound by contract to New England, but they could waive or trade his rights. 5. Players cannot come off the retired/reserve list after the final business day ahead of NFL's week 13. He must stay on the list until the new business year starts. Andre Smith didn't retire. He was waived by Cincy last month and was simply a free agent wandering the streets. Even if he did retire and chose to un-retire, he is not obligated to a contract, unlike Gronk.
16. I spent the last few minutes trying to figure out who Grabel was and what it had to do with Bret Bielema before opening the thread.
17. Watching Josh McCown against the Seahawks defense makes me real confident GB should beat either of them.
18. I would agree with that take. I don't know what the answer is however, but I think whatever solution MUST include both offenses touching the ball.
19. Taysom Hill will be the Saints starting quarterback next season. I agree with this and I think that he should be. It's not a "hot take" when the guy has been consistently doing this for a couple years now.
20. I agree with this. It's going to come down to scheme and execution regardless of who is across from them. I see equal chances of the Packers advancing from one game to the next, with on the road vs SF the slight exception. If there is anything bad about Minn winning is I think Seattle is the team that can beat SF in SF and Im not sure Minn has a good shot at that at all. Probably makes winning the division game a little easier, but makes pretty good odds of meaning SF wins the NFC, which makes me throw up in my mouth.
21. Feels like a familiar script.
22. Paul Chryst visiting his favorite fountain shop: "I'll take a double scoop of vanilla please"
23. Buffalo Bills at Houston Texans - I have liked Buffalo all year. I want Buffalo to win, but I think Houston has more weapons on offense, but their D seems prone to giving up tons of yards and points. This might be the hardest call of the weekend. Buffalo 27 Houston 25 Tennessee Titans at New England Patriots - I haven't felt great about New England all season, as my wife is a Pats fan so we watch just about every 60 minutes every week. They have no TE to speak of, average possession WR's and I think their best asset is James White. Tennessee 20 New England 17 Minnesota Vikings at New Orleans Saints - Carolina is terrible, but the Saints showed they can beat you fifteen different ways and one of them wasn't even Michael Thomas. Minnesota always seems worse than the sum of their parts. Dalvin Cook will make it closer than it probably is. New Orleans 33 Minnesota 17 Seattle Seahawks at Philadelphia Eagles - Russell Wilson feels like Aaron Rodgers from 5 years ago; just always in it during the final drive no matter what. The Seahawks OL and RB injuries are killing them. Luckily for them, I don't think they need a running game to beat Philly on the road. Seattle 27 Philadelphia 13
24. It's always a formula, home and away, set years in advance. Except the two teams that finish equal in that division, but even those are known home and away as well.
