  1. I realize that CFP rankings are all the rage and all that really matters. Just wanted to point out that Wisconsin moved to #3 in the AP and the coaches polls. Does anybody know the last time Wisconsin made it that high in the AP polls? Also, they got 10 first place votes. And 21 first place votes in the coaches poll, just a few points behind #1 overall. When is the last time Wisconsin got that many first place votes? IF, IF, IF we can beat Ohio State on Saturday in Indianapolis, I am hopeful for the Rose Bowl, as I would drive over from my home in Salt Lake City to go to my first Rose Bowl. It's my understanding that the #1 seed goes to their closest stadium? But New Orleans is 1000 miles from Madison and Pasadena is 2000 miles. If Wisconsin is a #1, wouldn't it just make more sense to allow them to go to the bowl where the Big Ten champ usually goes? My best case scenario has Wisconsin winning and getting a #3 seed playing a #2 seed Oklahoma. Auburn and Clemson playing as #1 and #4 in the Sugar Bowl.
  2. Schiano no longer heading to Tennessee. http://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/21579125/tennessee-volunteers-no-longer-hire-greg-schiano-head-coach
  3. I concur with that. Here's how I see things going to Championship Week 1. Oklahoma 2. Auburn 3. Clemson 4. Alabama 5. Wisconsin 6. Ohio State I'm rooting hard for a Clemson loss to South Carolina. Then I think Wisconsin jumps to 3 or 4 and Clemson drops out.
  4. I would be for a house cleaning. Would be fine with MM staying so long as TT and Capers are gone. GM: Just let Eliot Wolf have it. 14 years in Green Bay and seems to know what Packers football is all about. I think he's the David Stearns of football right now and I like that he would be a young guy with already 14 years of experience in the game. DC: Mike Vrabel. Currently the DC for the Houston Texans. I think he would accept at DC job for the Green Bay Packers. The Houston Texans run a 3-4 defense, but I'm not sold on having to keep a 3-4. I honestly wish they would go more to a 3-5-3 look and stay out of zone coverage. Vrabel could clearly coach up the linebackers, which I feel is the most important position on the defensive side of the ball. HC: I would like to keep MM. There are scheme and in-game decisions of his that no doubt drive me crazy. I like him because of how he carries himself and that is important to me as in my football coach. He is a QB genius who developed Aaron Rodgers. However, he is also responsible for Hundley's failures to develop well into year 3. Because of the post title in needing to clean house however, my pick for head coach would be Jon Gruden. I like a HC who has the innate ability to develop QBs and I think Gruden is the best out there. I think the Packers is one job he would consider leaving broadcasting for. He is also one of the guys that I would want developing the next QB of the future after Rodgers leaves.
  5. The Brewers are pouring money into Maryvale. Just Wonderful. :Eyeroll:
  6. What is the divider for North/South addressing in Milwaukee? Wisconsin Ave?
  7. Hundley doesn't look ready to play. That's got to be on McCarthy.
  8. Ooops. Bye Felicia Andersen http://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/20970001/oregon-state-parts-ways-head-coach-gary-andersen
  9. Opponent wins in what ends up being their final at-bat vs our bullpen. Story of our season.
  10. When Swarzak walked his first guy, he should have been done. The entire bullpen decision-making has been garbage all year.
  11. This is what I'm talking about. "Yippee, you got MVP numbers in 2011 for $4M."
  12. Seems like a truthful take.
  13. If Guerra can escape the third inning equal to or better than 6-2, I'll be thrilled.
  14. I don't understand the hand-wringing and complaining that goes on around here regarding Ryan Braun's $60M owed on his contract. Almost as if the contract was a poor one from the start. Were these same folks complaining when Ryan Braun was putting up top numbers while earning 380k in 2007, 455k in 2008, 745k in 2009, $4m in 2011 and so forth? How can one complain about the contract being an albatross when during a majority of the contract, it allowed the Brewers to compete somewhat and pay other players while other stars at the same time were earning far north of $10M, per year. I'm thinking contracts like Pujols, Josh Hamilton, etc. I think any amount that Ryan Braun is "overpaid" over the final 3-4 years of his deal was far worth the money saved during his first 10 seasons.
  15. Hornibrook doesn't seem capable of leading receivers down the field with the deep ball. Everything beyond 15yds seems like a pop-fly. Does he lack arm strength?
  16. Junior Guerra given the ball in a must-win game? :Sigh:
  17. Not to mention, season ticket holders sell their tickets to the Cubs series frequently because they can rape the Cubs fans for ridiculous amounts of cash, and because they don't want to sit amongst them...lol Is rape the most prudent word we could come up with in 2017? :Sigh: Rest of the opinion seems spot on. The game is a commodity. It's not incumbent upon any owner of a commodity to worry about who owns it after they do.
  18. Tan lines in September?
  19. It's supply/demand. Where else do you have a division or league rival within 90 miles of each other? I understand that this issue is discerning for Brewers fans but I don't think any strategy is going to be fruitful.
  20. I'm convinced if everybody in this game left the bat on their shoulder for the duration of the at-bat that there would be zero outs made.
  21. Not sure what it is, but I just don't like Davies.
