  1. Weeks has been pretty awesome this year with runners on. Weeks loves the fastball and hitting in front of Prince he'll get a lot of them.
  2. LOL, Pirates. That was a Yostian decision by Russell there to not have a righty up. Good to see Braun come up and get some big RBI there.
  3. This was a pretty good game. I found it funny how many people were in the concourses buying bobbleheads. Either they cranked Hells Bells down again, or I am just used to loud music (which is probably the case, lol) as it didn't seem that loud to me. A split is a split! When Duffy was batting I had minor flashbacks to Tony Gwynn Jr. I actually thought Weeks batting third wasn't a half bad idea. We know Weeks loves the fastball and whoever hits before Fielder will get a couple good ones a game to hit.
  4. This would be a good day to get a series split. Should be a pretty full house with it being a bobblehead day and all. I'll be heading to the ballpark shortly. Get it done, boys!
  5. Ken Macha should walk out into the outfield, stand there, and point at the spot until he gets ejected. I'd do it.
  6. That is a terrible blown save for Coffey, and by terrible I mean ridiculous he's gotta be stuck with it. A 45 foot run scoring swinging bunt. Awesome. The way Hall looked at it was pretty funny though. Hunker down here on Clark, ... or not. Yikes.
  7. Chris Snyder looks awful this inning. I wouldn't be surprised if one gets away for a run here.
  8. This was definitely a fun game to be at. The beginning fireworks with the offense getting on Karstens and then him plunking Braun had the crowd pretty fired up. The game dragged a little bit in the middle innings with all of the pitching changes. Villanueva is starting to give a little cause for concern. I know he can turn it around, though. It was pretty awesome to see Hoffman, even though that 8th inning rally made it a laugher. Section 212 had a "Trevor Hoffman! *clap clap clap clap clap* chant going pretty much the entire 9th inning.
  9. Kendall's ball was a can of corn, probably about 20 feet from the crawford boxes. Weeks looked mystified that he was batting, lol.
  10. This is essentially what I would write to myself, with a "p.s.: be more social and smile more, it won't kill you and you'll actually make more friends."
  11. I remember that Sheets vs. the Angels game so well. Junior Spivey made 3 errors, Geoff Jenkins struck out 6 times, and if I remember correctly Matt Kinney got the win. No hitters are always fun games to watch. It is even tense watching one for a team you don't even root for. I was surprised no one mentioned CC's near no hitter, but the 'hit' in that game came in the 5th inning.
  12. My coworkers have been trying to talk to me unsuccessfully for the past half hour as I've been intently listening to the radio. Incredible outing by Bush today, exactly what we needed. Hopefully the bullpen can manage to get 4 outs without giving up 5 runs, LOL.
  13. I apologize for the delay, I ended up doing some spring cleaning after the game today! Everyone who posted was entered and after the random integer generator did its thing, princeginterhallhelms04 was the winner. Thanks everyone! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  14. That is some old school pitching by Todd Coffey. 2 2/3 inning save. Credit to Macha for going to him in the biggest spot in the game, too.
  15. Move over, Claudio Vargas. Todd Coffey is apparently the new Houdini! If only we could clone him and we'd have more quality relievers, lol.
  16. I know Macha wanted to save Coffey for a save situation, but I guess I give him some credit for using him now. Macha looks straight up frustrated.
  17. I'm guessing Macha leaving Suppan in is less of a nod to Suppan for pitching well today and more of a statement to the bullpen that other than Coffey Macha has faith in not one guy out there right now, lol.
  18. Cameron crushed that ball and it barely got out. That ball is in the new Hog Deck at Miller Park.
  19. Way to bail out your fielder, Soup. Hart tends to have problems with some high fly balls during sunny day games it seems. He had a couple of those last season too if I remember correctly.
  20. That was a somewhat disappointing start, but they did make Figueroa throw 29 pitches. The new hair for Hart and Hardy is definitely amusing.
  21. Aramis Ramirez walks it off against the Cardinals with a 2-run HR in the 11th inning. Why am I not surprised? lol
  22. Okay Rickie, nice play there to get out of the inning. We have 9-1-2 against Putz and 3-4-5 against K-Rod, we can still do this. Gotta keep the positive thinking going! .. and there is a one pitch out, lol.
  23. That ball Weeks dropped was about as routine as it gets. Just a horrible time to make an error like that. Villa needs to get through this inning with only one scoring.
  24. It is amazing how many well hit balls just die in the outfield. I wonder if it is just the spring effect or if this ballpark is really going to play like Petco and some of the bigger ballparks.
  25. I hope this is appropriate to post here, but I'd like to take an opportunity to pay it forward for all of the generosity and awesome gestures I've seen and been a recipient of on this board. At the Brewers On-Deck event I received 2 tickets in section 224, row 21 that I won't be using so I wanted to pass them on. Since I'm posting this at an off-peak hour, if you're interested feel free to reply and if more than one person replies I will select a winner at random on Sunday. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif I can either mail the tickets, or you can do local pickup in the downtown Milwaukee area, your choice. Thanks to everyone who makes this a great place to post and discuss baseball!
