  1. The fact that MLB plays by different rules is idiotic. That like saying in the NFL that the AFC teams only need to go 10 yards to get a 1st down, and in the NFC they have to go 15 yards. The DH is here to stay unfortunetly because the players union will never let them get rid of it. As much as I like the strategy that goes with the NL and the "purity" of the the pitchers hitting, they should just go to a DH for all of MLB.
  2. That would have been pretty funny. A manager gets fired between games of a DH. 2 different managers in one day.
  3. Ned can't play the field or bat for these guys, but he does need to put them in a position to be successful. Of Ryan Braun's 11 HR's, 9 or 10 have been solo shots. The guys ahead of him aren't getting on base so at least try changing the batting order. It may not work, but try something. These are major league hitters and saying that somebody can't hit because he needs to settle into their spot in the line-up is stupid. Nobody is scared of this line-up. If you include the pitcher, we have 4 everyday players hitting below .200. Change something up.
  4. This one makes me pretty sick to my stomach.
  5. It's one of the more original things I've seen someone do when getting tossed.
  6. Gotta love being on this side of he game so far. We're up by 6 in the 5th and with the inevitable implosion by Bush in the 6th, we should still be able to hold the lead being up by this much.
  7. The way the Marlins have run the organization in the past may not have been the "traditional way" of building up your team with farm guys then get the few missing pieces you need through trades/free agency, but you can't argue with the fact that they have 2 WS rings already and the Brewers still have none. They have had some awful years, but up unitl the last 2 years, it was probably a lot more fun to be one of the three Marlins fans rather than one of the thousands of Brewer fans for the past 15 years.
  8. I'm headed to San Diego for the next couple days and I'm staying at the Westin Gaslamp Quarter. Does anyone know if there are any good sports bars in the area that may be carrying the Brewers games? Thanks.
  9. Again, Kapler shows there is NO reason to put Gabe Gross back in the lineup. Kapler should be the starter until Cameron comes back.
  10. Holy crap. Sosa sucks. The Mets version of Turnbow.
  11. A bomb by Braun right now would be perfect!
  12. Is there any reason why Gabe Gross should get any more starts over Gabe Kapler? Yost always talks about riding the hot bat, let's see if sticks to that.
  13. Hopefully we only have to deal with this for anothe week, and then Yo will be ready to take his spot.
  14. I heard Thursday that the Brewers were expecting 35,000 today.
  15. All is right with the world for 1 more day!
  16. Wouldn't mind seeing Braun hit his first HR here.
  17. Good start, now lets do something with this! Good guy to have coming up also-Kendall.
