  1. Once again, I will be doing my part, and NOT attending today's game. Therefore, the Crew should win today.
  2. I'm on the verge of not attending any games until they've clinched something. But once it comes to the playoffs, I'll try and keep my attendance to one game per series. Oh, BTW, I was at that game as well that Suppan got killed by the O's.
  3. Unfortunetly, the only steak stopped last night was the Brewers win streak. My streak of Brewer game losses is now up to 7. I would love to know what the odds are of seeing 7 staight losses at home. The Brewers record at games I've attended this year is now 1-8. In any case, I have done everyone a favor and declined an invite to go to tonight's game, in an effort to get the Brewers a win. GO CREW!!
  4. I know, it's disgraceful. If the Crew loses tonight, I'll be standing on the bridge over the freeway afterward waiting if anyone would like to come push me over the edge.
  5. Unfortunetly the Brewers have not faired well in the games I've attended this year. They've lost 7 of the 8 I've been to, including the last 6. I will be in attendance tonight, even though many of the people I'm going with are urging me to stay home. This is the night my losing streak ends!
  6. I'll agree to that! I kept thinking that there was no way he'd be a Brewer next year because of the way he was hitting early in the year, but I stand corrected. JJ has picked it up and now he's looking like he's a guy the Brewers will need to keep-IF he can keep this up. Way to go JJ!! I'm glad I was wrong about you!
  7. I agreed to go to Germanfest tonight, not looking at the schedule ahead of time thinking it was a day game with it being the last game in the series. Unfortunetly it ended up being a night game-DRAT!! I'm all for a rain delay as long as they get the game in sometime tonight. Then I'll still get to see most of it.
  8. Gee, let me think about what I have to do???????? Hmmmmmm.........not much of anything! Throw me in the hopper please!
  9. I gotta say, I got tears in my eyes right now because I'm lauging so hard with some of the pics. I just about lost it when I saw a pic of Hacksaw Jim Duggan pop up.
  10. He did say he would donate his minor league salary to a teams charity if they signed him. However, Baltimore is still paying him $12 million this year, so it's not like the money matters.
  11. I like the letter to the other teams as well. Shows they guy knew he screwed up and is swallowing his pride and is admitting it. Would that a be a "good character point" or would that be overruled by the fact that he used HGH? In any case, might be a good option for some depth. Put him in the minors and see how it goes.
  12. Well at least we won't get back to Pujols again hopefully.
  13. Even if that throw was on line they wouldn't have gotten him at the plate. Crap, and now here's Pujols. This is wonderful.
  14. Must have done that to set up the double play ball.
  15. Maybe, just maybe, Yost is thinking of using Bush as the long guy and moving Villenueva to the 8th inning?? That's the only reason I can think of for bringing in Mota instead of Bush, and wants to save him for tomorrow possibly if Suppan isn't up to par. Actually, I don't have a clue. This is just stupid on Yost's part. I don't even care if he has a clean inning. A one run game and he brings this guy in. No sense. Must be the farewell present for when he's DFA'd tomorrow.
  16. I pretty much agree with you on all counts. 1. Don't let Pujols beat us. If he gets pitched to as a go-ahead run or as the tying run late in the game, I may drive to St. Louis and hit Yost with my car. 2. Hopefully the games aren't close. I know we all LOVE LaRussa, but lets face the facts. If it gets into a managerial chess match, the nod goes to LaRussa by a longshot. Although, with Simmons next to Yost, the gap closes considerably. 3. This whole McClung on the road and Bush at home thing is a lousy idea. I've never been a huge fan of Dave Bush, but if you have to start one of them, pick the hot hand and go with Bush. If he's getting lit up, then bring in "McClung like a horse." 4. Mota should not be allowed in the stadium. Tell security he was traded and isn't allowed in the clubhouse. I'd rather have Gallardo out there pitching on one good leg than Mota out there doing his best imitation of Derrick Turnbow.
  17. Someone posted something over on sportsbubbler.com that the Brewers are in what seems like serious talks about trading for Taschner, and both sides are waiting til after this weekends series is done. If Durham is involved in the deal, the Giants want a major leaguer in return. If we trade for Aurilia, I may crap my pants.
  18. Not sure if this goes here, but since it involves some Brewers I'll put it here. I heard this saying a couple a weeks ago and wondered what it meant. Now I just heard Yount say it again on Bob and Brian this morning and he referenced having to ask Uecker about what it means. Anyone have anysight as to what it means? I have a feeling it has something to do with Uecker's height, but beyond that I don't have a clue.
  19. C-I think he's done a better job this year than in years past, but he still has not learned how to manage a bullpen and his loyalty to players still continues to hurt him. As someone else said, he's an average manager. There are some better managers, and some worse.
  20. Weeks' touched him with his glove, but the ball was in his other hand. It was the correct call by the ump.
  21. I would agree that the strike zone in this series has not exactly been the best. I have no problem with he strike zone as long as the ump in consistent, but it's pretty tough to play when you have no idea what a strike is going to be.
