  1. I'm blaming that one on Gagne. He needs to be there on that.
  2. Maybe because of the conditions they didn't want to risk it. Probably a little slower out there with the wet ground. In any case, we have Fielder and Braun coming up. Gotta like our chances.
  3. I can see us going 18 innings in honor of Ernie Banks. "Let's play 2!"
  4. At least the top of the order is coming up for the 9th.
  5. Is anyone else listening to the radio broadcast also? Do you find this "presented by Kohl's" annoying also?
  6. I was holding my breath on that one.
  7. I gotta say BRAVO to Trenni! Some nice eye candy!
  8. Who's the new FSN sports girl? Not bad!
  9. Regardless of how this turns out, a good start on the year for Sheets. And I"m not talking about the scoreless ball so far. The fact that he hasn't gotten hurt in these conditions is a victory.
  10. I didn't realize where the Brewers were in the batting order. If this isn't Sheets last inning, we may be on the verge of getting Yosted.
  11. It looked like Zambrano was messing with his knuckle area on his index finger. That would be a wierd spot for a blister if that was it. Maybe he snapped it the wrong way when he threw that pickoff throw. A freakish injury-Sheets has infected Zambrano!!
  12. I was about to say that if the Brewers got the lead this inning that Sheets would come back out for the bottome half of the inning. I'd say if it's still 0-0 going to the bottom half, Sheets is done for the day.
  13. AS of last week, Steny's was still selling tickets for just the tailgate.
  14. I think everyone had a right to be down on Weeks before. He was having an awful year. He didn't have a clue as to what he should do when he went up to to hit-his approach was awful. That being said, now he's starting to come back to what he was suppose to be doing. He's getting on base consistently and his at-bats are looking much better. You can blame his wrist all you want for him not hitting, but his mental game was killing him. Now he's finally figured the mental part as well as his wrist being healthy. That's why he's playing better.
  15. At this rate, we will be lucky to get to 75 wins this year. On a post earlier in the year, someone mentioned that in the Nationals first year in Washington they started 51-32 and ended up 81-81. We're going to be worse than that. And that my friends, is awful baseball.
  16. I could hear the crack of the bat on the radio like it was next to me. He must have crushed it.
