  1. I was at that game against Clemens! Great time. Really want to see the film too.
  2. Anybody know how us with directv can see it? The Twins one is on their channel, but not Segura's on ours. What gives?
  3. Wish they wouldn't have put Scott walker in that video. Grrr.
  4. 7 or 8? He's not Ned Yost.
  5. I think it was a good, proactive move not letting Henderson close until he shows some more in games, but it has no doubt become controversial. What are your thoughts? Do we have reason to be fretful?
  6. Two questions: 1) How cheaply can Hart be had next year given his contract year lost to injury in 2013? 2) Regardless of the price, do we want him back or do we have organizational options (i.e. schafer, etc) that can fill in for less money/better performance?
  7. the Fox Sports Wisconsin girls is the most sexist thing to come out of Brewers telecasts since Bill Schroeder's commercial for jewelry with Keith Tozer. "You're not the only one who likes to spoil your wife." Ridiculous. It's 2013 people.
  8. Well let's add Lohse to the list. At least it's the non-throwing hand and the pinkie. Still, such bad luck and with the Reds playing well bad timing.
  9. He should be gone from the 4-hole. Honestly, I would rather see Gennett getting some at-bats at this point, but if we're gonna stick with him, he's gotta be down in the order. We already have the over-the-hill black hole spot (gonzalez), we don't need one at the cleanup hole too.
  10. I'm hooked. I watched a lot of the elimination games last time and I've watched a lot more this time around. I hope it gets as big as the World Cup someday. (Not globally, just as big as the world cup is in the US now, if that makes any sense). Great drama and a great way to pass the doldrums until opening day!
  11. Ok thanks. That stinks.
  12. So the brewers version aired tonight, but unlike past years, the show never showed up in the directv guide. Does anyone know the broadcast schedule? Even MLB doesn't post the air times.
  13. can he do radio? Cuz, Joe block makes my lawn grow he's so boring.
  14. anyone but the cardinals at this point is fine with me. And the giants shutting Melky down and sticking with it is a great baseball karma move. (though they can't give back home field)
  15. Gomez is a guy I would absolutely hate to see play for anyone else, but I think this was his best year and I don't know that he can frankly hit well enough to justify a long-term deal. It makes me sad to think he could go, but it would be sadder to lock him up and then not be able to sign a good pitcher.
  16. it's the facebook-ization of baseball. I'm not for it at all.
  17. I too would be upset if they traded their young pitching. Go with what you got if there aren't any decent FA options we can afford.
  18. I'm thinking if the Brewers want to contend next year, they have to either trade for a good SP by sacrificing young pitching, go with the guys they've got, or get a 1-year deal decent starter (if one exists). All the position players are signed for next year, and so is Gallardo. Next year is really the year that it has to all come together if the Crew is going to win a World Series anytime soon IMO, but they can't sign some albatross pitching contract, even Greinke, and expect to be a contender after 2013 no matter what.
  19. I'm saying that if the Brewers win today (Sunday), and the Cardinals lose today, (leaving the Crew 1 back from the Cards in the loss column, the only one that matters when chasing, and 2 back from the Dodgers), then the Brewers can go 6-4 and have a reasonable shot with the cupcakes at the end of the season at home. But, if the Brewers end up more than 2 back in the loss column of the leader(s) at the end of today, they have to go 8-2 most likely. We'll see though.
  20. I don't think it matters the position, but I'm not positive. Technically any player can play any position so I don't see why it would.
  21. well at least we didn't give up anyone good in those deals.
  22. There is a middle ground here, guys. The Brewers could be too good to be sellers but not good enough to go "all in," either. That doesn't mean they can't be players at the deadline. The Brewers have some pieces that other teams might be interested in, and obviously they have some needs (bullpen, SS, bench bat most notable) to address. What's to stop them from doing a deal that helps them this year and in the future.
  23. I find it interesting that Rickie has 22 RBI and 6 HR and a 311 OBP, and Nyjer Morgan has worse numbers, but people aren't calling for him to be traded/cut. In fact, Weeks' OBP is higher than 4 other starters today.
  24. not to mention leinenkugel's. not awesome, but decent stuff. and the brewmaster in Milwaukee is a great guy.
  25. I can't believe we're "third worst" for beer. We have Lakefront, macro-imports, Capital Brewery, a couple random micro-brew stands, and yes, the millercoors stuff. But still, not a bad selection. (Unless you are unlucky enough to sit in terrace level)
