  1. If Prince delivers against the LOOGY, could the Brewers just skip Hall's spot in the order and jump straight to Hart's spot? Like it should be? Please?
  2. The day off hasn't stopped Ryan from trying way too hard to carry the team. I know it's going against his personality, but he needs to relax and just take what other teams are giving him.
  3. Vintage Gross AB right there. Nice job, Gabe.
  4. Welcome back over the Mendoza Line, Rickie!
  5. Wainwright's approaching 100 pitches...his control has to fade sooner or later. With Kendall and the top of the order up, this could be a good chance to get back into the game.
  6. I love how Gameday records every Brian Shouse pitch as an 80 MPH curveball.
  7. After that inning Wainwright's season ERA now sits at 2.86. He's quietly had a very good start to the year...he's probably one of the few Cards pitchers that I'd expect to keep pitching well throughout the year.
  8. Strike 'em out, throw 'em out! Hopefully that pumps a little more life into this team...still plenty of ABs left.
  9. Who taught Cesar Izturis how to bunt? Jim Skaalen? Nice play by Kendall.
  10. Sophomore slumps stink. I'm just bracing myself for the inning-ending DP from Hall now if Prince walks. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif
  11. Holy crap, a leadoff walk! Way to go, Rick!
  12. Wainwright's definitely a very good young pitcher, but the Brewers are definitely helping him by doing things like flying out on the first pitch.
  13. I don't think J.J. Hardy has seen more than 3 or 4 pitches tonight. Dude's pressing way too hard. Then again so is everyone else in the order.
  14. Well at least Gross took 5 pitches to strike out that time. Gameday says a Brewer actually looked at 4 straight pitches without swinging -- that has to be a glitch, doesn't it? Edit: Back to back hits...hopefully they can get at least one run on the board here to calm the nerves.
  15. Another single-digit pitch inning for Wainwright...he's at 36 pitches through 3 innings. I'm a little surprised that the Brewers have allowed him to throw 10 balls. I'm just hoping they start to take a few more pitches soon.
  16. On the bright side, we were saying a lot of the same things after the Nelson Figueroa game, and the rest of the series turned out okay. Hopefully the same will happen in St. Louis.
  17. Just get more than 3 stinking hits and play some defense and I won't be as agitated as I was last night. It was ugly. Although, to be fair, the Cards were pulling some incredible defensive plays out of their butt, too. When did Adam Kennedy become Robby Alomar?
  18. Didn't that start the whole Chris Young/Derrek Lee mess? I can't be the only person who thought of Bill Gramatica when I saw this happen. I don't think he was really hotdogging it, but it could be a sign that Soriano's legs are wearing down, especially when you look at his fairly serious hamstring issues last year and his declining SB numbers.
  19. Anyone who takes Beckett over Santana has given into ESPN's brainwashing. Does he think Chien-Ming Wang is better, too?
  20. Disappointing night...go get them tomorrow. Like I said, with how much bad luck they've had against the Cards lately, I'd be happy to get out of St. Louis with a win and no injuries. I just can't believe the Cards are 10-4 right now.
  21. J.J. Hardy -- turning outs into inning-prolonging errors.
  22. When can they tear down this Busch Stadium, too?
  23. Riske's getting ridiculously squeezed. Barton almost took his base on 3-0 with a pitch down the middle because he thought it was going to be called a ball.
  24. What's Sid Ponson doing these days? I hear the Cubs are trying to move Jason Marquis, too. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
