  1. If they keep hitting like they did in Chicago, they should be able to win this series. Please surprise us with a good outing tonight, Suppan.
  2. I'll second adding "It's gonna happen!" to the cuss filter. What a generic catchphrase. This is an interesting experiment, to say the least. What would really suck is if the Brewers go 7-1 in their next 8 games, and then drop the season finale. At least 7-2 would put the Brewers in very good position to make the playoffs, though, right? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  3. Just my top 5... 1. 4th and 26 2. Super Bowl XXXII 3. June 29 2007 4. The playoff game where Favre threw 6 INT's against the Rams 5. Wisconsin's various choke jobs early in the NCAA tournament For some reason, today's game never registered as a complete disaster. It sucked, sure, but to me it really didn't feel any different than any other loss this month.
  4. Of course I'm not done with this season -- what else am I going to watch every day?? When the season ends, I'll have nothing to watch but ESPN and crappy TV series. This is the best Brewers team that I can remember (I was 4 in 1992). I'm not bailing out early, no matter how bad they limp across the finish line.
  5. Phillies and Braves currently tied at two. The Mets are only a half game behind the Phils, so maybe they swap places and the Brewers don't lose ground. I can dream.
  6. For those of us that like prolonged torture, and don't limit ourselves to just games involving the Brewers. Philly @ Atlanta (6 PM CT) -- Hamels vs Hampton New York @ Washington (6:10 PM CT) -- Santana vs Redding Here's to hoping for another Mets bullpen collapse -- it almost happened last night.
  7. I tried so hard, and got so farBut in the end, it doesn't even matter I had to fall, to lose it all But in the end, it doesn't even matter I think BF.net needs an Emo thread to cope with this month or something.
  8. Is it too soon to fire Dale Sveum?
  9. Of course Derrek freaking Lee wins it after being horrible all year. At least the offense looked good in the first 9 innings.
  10. I don't think so...at least Soto got it over with in one swing of the bat. That Texas game was like death by papercuts -- single after single after single with 2 outs.
  11. That was a strike last inning.
  12. Well, the Cubs are out of everyone's league. They're the best team in baseball. It's going to take a massive chokejob for them to miss the World Series.
  13. This team is epically bad on the basepaths. Why the heck are you running on contact with Kendall up and the infield drawn in?
  14. Of course. And now you don't even have the guy on third now. Fantastic.
  15. COREY HART LIVES! 2 RISP with nobody out...please luck into a sac fly somewhere, guys.
  16. I LOVE YOU, MIKE CAMERON. Holy crap I didn't breathe once Soto made contact. Hopefully the Brewers can get something off of Howry and get the heck out of town. Edit: Nevermind, it's Wood again. That's what I get for listening to Len Kasper.
  17. Soto stepping in again. Perfect. Serenity now. Serenity now. Serenity now.
  18. CSN's pitch track graphic had both pitches well off the plate, but about the same distance off as the Marmol and Wood strikeouts.
  19. Cubs fans chanting a variation of "cow poop." Stay classy, guys.
  20. Well, at least this ump is terrible both ways. Edmonds getting thrown out with 2 strikes on him is pretty funny, though. Watch the pinch-hitter win it.
  21. 7 of the first 10 batters (counting both teams) struck out to start extras, and Ramirez walks. Better than a walk-off HR, I guess.
  22. To be fair, the Diamondbacks are in the middle of a pretty epic collapse, too.
  23. Apparently, the ump decided that 7 walks was enough for the Brewers today.
  24. http://www.fangraphs.com/lgraphs/280918116_Brewers_Cubs_116651786_lbig.png
  25. Well, if McClung can piece together a scoreless inning, at least Durham-Braun-Fielder will get a chance.
