    What a horrible, horrible pitch by Torres. Comcast's pitch tracker had that up and over the plate...Soto didn't even have to try to hit that one out.

    Corey Hart really needs to stop trying to steal/advance to third when he's already in scoring position. It's been driving me crazy all year.

    Thank you, Michael Wuertz. The Cubs' defense has just been horrible today. Edit: Stupid send around third, but it was a great play by Soto at the plate.

    Doesn't help that Fontenot has a 3 inch strike zone. On a different note, I'm kind of surprised that the Cubs haven't been running on Kendall more. During the sweep in Milwaukee it seemed like every baserunner was trying to steal, and that led to a ton of runs. Fontenot didn't even try to take 2nd on that ball that got away from Kendall.

    Win this game and still have a chance at winning the season series. The Cubs will likely have nothing to play for by the time they come back to Milwaukee, so it's definitely do-able.

    Unless it is a Tommy John-type thing, I don't think Ben's FA status will fall all that much. All it takes is one desperate team from New York looking to open up their new ballpark with a bang to change what a lot of people think he "should" get. If anything, he'll have trouble getting a 4th or 5th year now, but the per-year average is still going to be pretty high, IMO. He's not going to be taking a paycut from his current salary.

    I haven't been able to comment on this since the Brewers got him, but...Todd freaking Coffey? The guy we used to love coming out of the Reds bullpen because it was extremely likely he was going to blow the save? We need him to pitch significant innings now? Hopefully the Brewers can get out of this inning with the lead.
