  1. Well at least we’re (yet again) celebrating the 40th anniversary of the World Series losers this weekend
  2. Really one of the worst innings from a relief pitcher I have ever seen in all my years watching baseball. Absolutely atrocious.
  3. You can probably snag a Terrace ticket for less than $10 most nights. But if you want that brat, it’ll probably be either cold, moist or the bun will be crunchy. During the month of April, if you wanted a nacho bowl, your only cheese option was cold, shredded cheese. Nasty. And, oh there’s only been one place to get a tap beer on the Terrace level for the past two seasons. Pretty sure every single concession stand at Lambeau and Fiserv serves draft beer. So, the Brewers may have remodeled and added food offerings and new bars over the past years, but the quality of the product from Delaware North has been frankly unacceptable. It’s the same issue in the suites. It’s a problem and I know I’m not the only one who feels this way. If the Brewers move forward with an entertainment district, I’m fully supportive. But I sure hope the team itself or Delaware North is not actively involved in the day to day management or operations of any of it.
  4. The price of the tickets isn’t the issue for most people. It’s the cost of eating and drinking inside the stadium. The quality of the food product has declined precipitously over the past five years. I wonder why these local restaurant groups want to have their product degraded by Delaware North — why have Smoke Shack, Zaffiros, etc. come and gone over the years? They didn’t even have the nacho cheese sauce for the first month of the season. Come on. Not sure what the experience of others has been, but the decline in quality is noticeable while prices have trended higher and it has detracted from my experience at the stadium.
  5. The team knows he’s not vaccinated. He’s not misleading them. That’s why he’s been following the protocol while in team facilities. But he hasn’t been following the protocol while traveling, on the sidelines or while talking with the press. My theory is that the team allowed him to avoid the protocol in public-facing settings.
  6. This must mean that the organization has been covering for him for months. Probably because they’re walking on eggshells around Aaron.
  7. I find it remarkable that the one-inning limit was so ironclad that he couldn’t even stretch it just a little in an elimination game. Given the Williams absence and putrid offense, if they had found a way to win Tuesday or win the series altogether, I’m inclined to believe that his limitation would have jeopardized the team’s chance to win an important game at some point.
  8. This one certainly stings, given the uncertainty about the CBA next season. Hope we get a full season.
  9. So, who do we have left after Woodruff? Hader for 2 and Gustave. Probably an inning out of Cousins. Is Houser available for an inning?
  10. And wasn’t it on only 3 days rest (which is unheard of nowadays) Just looked it up — CC’s start in Game 2 was his fourth consecutive start on three days rest.
  11. If Lauer, Ashby and the offense can lock it down tomorrow, you’d have to feel pretty good about having Burnes, Woodruff and probably Peralta (for an inning or so) ready for Thursday.
  12. To be fair, that was like his 4th consecutive start on short rest
  13. My concern is whether Burnes would even be effective on 3 days rest
  14. There’s obviously concern that this decision trickles into tomorrow, as well.
