  1. It's going to take sweeping the last 4 games to finish 87-75 and Colorado finishing 1-2. Not impossible but it's not worth getting emotionally invested in the games, especially after this lethargic performance
  2. The bases are loaded and the season is on the line? And he brings in Carlos Torres.
  3. See ya next year, Woodruff. That was a very bad performance
  4. This Reds series is the most sweepable series they've had all year.
  5. If the Brewers had the week that the Rockies are having (about to be 1-5 against SD/SF), I'm sure we'd be flipping out. It's right here for the taking .
  6. Pirates dropped an 8 run burger on Lance Lynn in the first
  7. So why wasn't Swarz in at the beginning of the inning
  8. Well, except for Brewer Bob.
  9. The only way the Brewers would do this is in a playoff series with the Cubs -- they would absolutely have to in that scenario. The Bucks did that in their Game 6 in 2015 against the Bulls and it worked mildly successfully.
  10. During the 2014 season, that August loss against St. Louis and a k-rod chokejob loss in San Diego in late August (where noodle bat Rene Rivera hit a game tying HR at Petco in the 9th) were probably the two worst losses. During the 1-13 stretch in late August and September, the team seemingly got pounded in every game.
  11. Last night really stung. Most painful loss since 2008. I can't say any of the 2008 playoff losses really hurt, as I was just happy to be there and you knew the team was on borrowed time with a lethargic offense, CC on fumes and no Sheets. Game 3 of the 2011 NLCS was the most painful playoff loss in my lifetime -- that was the Kotsay CF game. As far as regular season losses, reaching back into my bored-at-work memory bank, there are a few nominees: July 3, 2008 at the D'Backs, as mentioned, was brutal. During the 2007 season, there was the June 29 game at Wrigley. The Brewers scored 5 runs in the first and Aramis Ramirez hit a 3-run walk off in the bottom of the 9th to win 6-5. That was the beginning of the downfall of the 07 team. Also, the August 5 loss to the Phillies. Matt Wise, Cordero, Manny Parra and a Braun 3B fielding error managed to squander a 6-1 9th inning lead. Sept. 18, 2008: at Wrigley -- Solomon Torres blows a 6-2 lead in the bottom of the 9th with 2 outs, with Geovany Soto hitting a game tying three run homer. Brewers end up losing in 12. That was the worst loss of the 2008 collapse and probably one of the top 5 worst losses in team history.
  12. And broxton was presumably put in the game for his defense tonight?
  13. Our bullpen is gassed and we're playing the Cubs... any chance we can order up a rainout tonight?
  14. It's going to be a gut-wrenching three innings. Buckle up
  15. Cardinals haven't lost 90 games in a season since 1990. Before that, 1978. It's really an amazing stretch of almost 40 years. The next awful season they have, whenever that may be, will be cause for a lot of gloating.
  16. Favorite is AT&T. Least favorites are Nationals Park (bland) and Fenway (truly an overrated, claustrophobic dump) Edit: I forgot about the newly named Guaranteed Rate Field -- only park I've been to where people sitting in the upper deck aren't allowed to walk down to the lower concourse.
  17. Can you take a screenshot of each ticket and send it to each of the 3 people?
  18. Colorado plays the Dodgers in their final series. It would be helpful if the Nats/Dodgers were still competing for the #1 seed at that point, so the Dodgers play their starters most of the game -- currently, they have a 5 game lead on the Nats. Barring some kind of miracle this week, no less than 3 of 4 wins against the Cubs to stay alive for the division.
