  1. I'm just trying to tell myself that there is no way that the Brewers can get swept by the worst team in the AL. There's just no way. It's impossible for the Brewers to lose tonight.
  2. Ned Yost's comments regarding Cordero's blown save: "It's not devastating," he said. "We're not dead. It's a ballgame. We'll be back tomorrow. It's definitely tough, but it's not devastating." Um Ned, I thought that playing and winning ballgames were your job. The intensity is lacking right now, when the division title has seemingly been on a golden platter.
  3. We all knew that Cordero was going to eventually blow a save, but you'd think that would maybe come on a walk/single and then an HR in a 1-run game. Tonight's performance was puzzling.
  4. www.fangraphs.com/livewin...=270609113 Just incredible. The chances of Texas winning that game down 0-2 with 2 outs in the 9th are astronomically low. At one point in the 9th, the Brewers probably had a 99.9% of winning. Yes, I have officially declared tonight the worst loss of the season.
  5. www.baseballprospectus.co...ddspec.php With every passing day, the gap between the Cubs and Brewers shrinks.
  6. In Carlos I trust. Come on, let's get a W tonight.
  7. Well, the Cardinals have given up a huge inning and trail 8-4 to LAA right now, so the Cubs are going to leapfrog STL for 2nd place. After tonight, the standings will look like this: MIL (33-28 ) CHC (27-32) 5 GB STL (26-32) 5.5 GB The Cubs have 2 more games against Atlanta, one game at home against Houston and three games at home against the Mariners. This lead could evaporate very, very quickly.
  8. Seemingly every game I'm thinking, "this is the worst game of the season. And then the next game, I think the same thing. Definitely a sign of a bad month...
  9. I believe Rick Helling and Zach Jackson pitched in that series. Sheets, Bush, and Cappy are going up against a team that isn't much better than the Royals last year. So, a sweep in Texas would be devastating with DET and MIN coming up. And Capellan, you suck.
  10. As mentioned before, if the Brewers get swept in Texas, I believe management seriously has to think about giving Yost the axe. Yeah, I know the Brewers are in first, but that's only because every other team has sucked until the beginning of this month. Maybe a shakeup would be beneficial.
  11. Estrada just took a walk...probably a sign that the rest of the team needs to be more patient.
  12. The pitcher should be batting right now. I hate the DH.
  13. Today's JS said that the Rangers are on track to have the worst starting pitcher ERA in history.
  14. The last time the Brewers and Rangers played was August 27, 1997. I believe that the Rangers are the only team that the Brewers have yet to play as a member of the National League.
  15. Pirates-Nationals knotted at 5 in the 9th. Reds lead the Cardinals 4-3 in the 6th, but STL is making life difficult. The bright side: The Brewers have 13 more games against Cinci http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif .
  16. Which announcer referred to Miller Park at Wrigley North?
  17. Wow, Vargas. That pitch had HR written all over it.
  18. Wow, the ball just flew off his bat. Good for Graffy.
  19. Why do Cub fans think every fly ball is a homer??
  20. these tickets have been claimed
  21. I have four club box seats ($36 each) along with a parking pass and 4 passes to the .300 Club for tomorrow's game (6/6). If you're interested, give me an offer.
  22. Oh, why oh why do I have to be a Milwaukee Brewers fan http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif . This team will be 5 out on Sept. 1 and the Cubs will end up winning the division. By the way, I'm sick and tired of Ned Yost.
  23. I'm sick of Johnny Estrada. Yeah, I hope he's frustrated.
  24. Shouse isn't good anymore. I can't believe I invested 2.5 hrs on this game. I absolutely hate playing the Cubs at home.
