  1. I have a sick feeling that today's walk-off may be some sign the Cubs are destined to overtake the Brewers and win the division. Oh, Cordero, why!?!?
  2. I'm seriously worrying about another Turnbow-like July from Cordero. He has not looked good lately
  3. That's the first homer Cordero's given up this season. As a Brewer, the only homers he's given up have been at Wrigley, I believe.
  4. Ugh. Derrek Lee should really have served his suspension by now. I know he didn't hit the homer, but I need something to gripe about.
  5. Wow, I hope to definitely see that "Bust Out the Brooms Graphic" for the IGT on Sunday http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  6. Brian Fuentes pulled a Derrick Turnbow, tonight. Thanks man. Oh yeah, Kaz Matsui sucked too.
  7. Are you serious? Yes, this did happen. Just saw it on FSN.
  8. I'm hoping the Rockies can shut them down in the 9th because that was a hilarious display by Howry. He didn't even record an out! I thought it was time to get concerned about the Cubs creeping up on us, but they're proving that they're still the Cubs. *knock on wood*
  9. Villanueva warmed up 2 times today. Where was he? Chris Spurling was not my idea of a hero with the bases loaded and nobody out. This game's on Ned.
  10. Wow, the Brewers have had some lucky breaks in this series...even though Shealy looked safe to me.
  11. The Royals are bad. Really bad. You're telling me. There was a Royals fan talking trash in my section last night. I didn't get mad or anything. I just felt bad for the poor guy.
  12. Just an FYI...the Brewers and the Dodgers are now tied for the best record in the NL at 42-31, after the Padres fell to the Red Sox tonight http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  13. Cubs are leading 2-0 in the top of the 4th. Big Z is absolutely dealing with 7 Ks through 3 innings. Of course, the White Sox have been pretty awful as of late.
  14. So, Dave Bush is being skipped? If so, I assume that the rotation will be: Fri: Suppan Sat: Gallardo Sun: Sheets Mon: Vargas Tue: Bush
  15. The Cubs have cut the lead to 5-3 and have 2 on with 2 out in the 5th.
  16. KC and STL are going to extras, knotted at 6-6.
  17. 41,641 on a Monday night. How would the Brewers stay in business without the Cubs fans?
  18. Looks like a sellout crowd will witness the Yovani Gallardo debut and the Barry Bonds circus on Monday night. I can't wait!
  19. I have to wonder where KC would be in the standings if they played in the NL Central. I don't believe they're a terrible team--they can swing the bat, judging by two 17-run outbursts in the past week or so.
  20. SF: 2 of 3 KC: 2 of 3 HOU: 2 of 3 at CHC: 2 of 3 PIT: 2 of 4 WSH: 1 of 3 11-8 I'd expect the Brewers maybe to sweep one their home series, and I'd certainly expect a series win against the Royals (they're heating up, but so are the Brewers, and KC probably isn't as strong on the road). PNC may give the Brewers issues, and the Nationals aren't nearly as bad as some people projected to them. And as for after the AS break, Colorado is no pushover, and Arizona is a good team. The schedule becomes more favorable, but the Brewers need to keep up the intensity.
  21. That was fun while it lasted. Good job, Spurling.
  22. If the A's can tee off on 0-8 Anthony Reyes, today will have been a decent day.
  23. Cue that "Bad Day" song. Suppan was atrocious today.
  24. Suppan looks like crap, and I'll dare to say that this game is over. At least the Cubs are losing.
  25. Make that 6 LOB, need some clutch 2 out hitting. Keep being patient with this guy because he doesn't have control today. Yeah, the Brewers have him at 50 pitches so far, but Suppan needs to keep us in the game.
