  1. Update: Dodgers defeat the Pirates, 6-5.
  2. Estrada sucks, but that play was hilarious.
  3. pebadger: I agree with you 100%. The Cubs fans always gobble up the lower level seats first, on top of season ticket holders selling/giving tickets to Cubs fans. Just imagine if these two teams met in the NLCS someday. It would be a Brewer fan's absolute worst nightmare.
  4. You absolutely, positively have to be kidding me.
  5. A very nice AB by Billy...it looks like Jones slipped a tad on the track, preventing him from making the catch.
  6. Yeah, at this point in the season, I don't see a big difference between Estrada and Mike Rivera.
  7. Dodgers lead the Pirates 3-0 in the top of the 7th.
  8. I think all of us knew that was coming.
  9. Bush wants a repeat of his last start against the Cubs.
  10. I've never liked Verducci since he wrote that article and took a couple cheap shots at my city. His shots on Milwaukee were inappropriate and unprofessional--the outcome of that game had nothing to do with the fact that Milwaukee is not the flashiest city in the country. What a hack.
  11. An autographed Kobe Bryant jersey from Upper Deck.
  12. I know it's 3 hrs before gametime but I have two club level seats (Sec. 323, Row 6), a $72 value, that I am selling for $35. I will meet you in front of the gate for exchange, and I will take another reasonable offer if $35 is too much.
  13. Well, the worst is over, but the Brewers will have a 4-5 game division lead and a nice 10 game homestand coming up. They should be favored in their next 13 games, leading up to the mid-June series in Detroit. Tomorrow, in front of a sell-out crowd on the "first" day of summer should be the next chapter of this season. The Brewers can't afford to squander the opportunity presented in the next few series.
  14. Remember, on this date last year the Brewers were 26-24, but they went on to lose 7 in a row.
  15. The Brewers have been playing like crap for the past two weeks, but that Cubs game was the perfect illustration why the Brewers still have a 6 game division lead.
  16. At this point, I think this team needs to explore an alternative to Dave Bush, preferably Villy. Bush has been knocked around a number of times this season (April 6: CHC, April 28: at HOU, tonight). That may or may not be a lot at this stage in the season, but he is quickly becoming a liability. PS: Hopefully this Cubs loss is incredibly demoralizing. Very, very similar to the Brewers/Phillies game last Monday.
  17. I went to a game at Fenway Park in early April 2004. The fans are extremely passionate--I was on my feet for seemingly the entire game. Yeah, it's dangerous to walk up the stairs and the bathrooms are downright disgusting, but I genuinely love Fenway Park because it's a pure baseball experience. I understand the sentiments about Lambeau Field, but it is truly the only gimmick-free, pure NFL experience. It has the most intimate setting of any stadium in the league. I have been to Monday night games and late Sunday games at Lambeau Field when the Packers were a very good team and the experience was absolutely electric. Go sit in the upper deck of M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore during a Ravens game. I know after I did last August, my appreciation for Lambeau grew.
  18. Jenkins, I loved you on Sunday. Not so much today.
  19. Cesar Izturis of the Cubs was up in the count 3-1 with the bases loaded and one out....and grounded into a DP! That took some of the edge off of this horrific game.
  20. What did you expect against Penny? If you think we're going to tear the cover off the ball against an all-star starter....all I can say is some people's expectations are a little too unrealistic. I'm in agreement. I fully expected a blowout loss tonight. JJ is out, a struggling Capuano on the mound, facing an all-star starter, and an unintimidating lineup on the road were not exactly the ingredients for a W tonight.
  21. I have a bad feeling that we're going to go 1-5 on this trip. And then we'll have the Braves waiting for us on Monday...
