  1. Here's negativity for you: With just a bit more production, this should have been the night the Brewers clinched.
  2. Wow, that was a gift third strike.
  3. Orca, if you're cheering for the Brewers, predicting the Scrubs wil lose is negativity.
  4. Noting that the Mets need to lose is not negativity, it is reality.
  5. What the Mets do is not irrelevant. If they win all their games, the Brewers are virtually done, unless you want to count on the Nats to sweep the Phils.
  6. And then he creates artificial tension for a young pitcher by IBBing the bases full. At least it's only tied.
  7. Lest anyone forget, Phillies not a sure thing either and they're getting killed by Braves tonight. Let's catch 'em all. A three-way tie would be interesting, as Phils and Mets would bang away at each other first in a tiebreaker for the East.
  8. Cubs escape 1 and 3, nobody out situation.
  9. Well done. Sarcasm will get you everywhere.
  10. Because Hart is a Sac Fly machine. Oh, wait . . . .
  11. Now on DirecTV PayPerView: Run Fat Boy Run
  12. If the weather is as bad out east as they say it will be, I think they should just fly everyone to Milwaukee and play doubleheaders here this weekend. Cubs/Brewers and then Mets/Marlins. And then the Cubs and Mets can play makeups on Monday there if need be. If it's neutral enough for the Astros, it's neutral enough for the Mets.
  13. Cubs take the lead on Soriano double.
  14. Maybe Braun is playing with a ruptured spleen.
  15. Third most HR in the NL, but the only team in the majors without a grand slam. I'm sure that has nothing to do with OBP. Just bad luck.
  16. I would be funny to see Hart try to lay down a bunt here, just to watch heads explode.
  17. Not equating that with last night's HR, but that was a very nice bit of hiiting by Prince.
  18. On a positive note, outside events breaking the way of the Brewers, if they can find a way to hit a ball.
  19. If this doesn't work out tonight, I vote for pitching CC tomorrow, too. No way teh Pirates beat him two days in a row.
  20. I bet Mota is finally loved in NYC.
  21. Just can't sit through this today, guys. I just don't know what to do with myself anymore. My only thought is that it is fitting that even thought this game has some marginal meaning, the park in Cinci is completely dead. September baseball just isn't supposed to be like this.
