I wasn't trying to imply MLB cares about prices. But from a standpoint of being true to fans who are going to the game it does seem a bit unfair to give less than 24 hours to them that the gametime is changing.

I think the story in the JS makes perfect sense of the falling prices: uncertainty as to game time. I guess TV has to rule all, but it seems to me that just fixing the time at 3:05 regardless of the ALCS result would have been the way to go. The TV audience isn't going to be appreciably different regardless of the time.

Sad as it is, if Marcum merely gives up 2 runs in the first inning he will have started more than a half-run better than the average start in a 2011 Brewer post-season loss. -

Being better over 162 gets you a ticket to play, same as the Cardinals got. Nobody cares who is better over 162 anymore. Sports in the US is all about the playoffs. Kind of a limited way to look at things in my opinion, but it is what it is. The Brewers have failed to punish the Cards for bad starting pitching. And their own hasn't really been much better.

Looks like once again that seeing a good high school football game live is miles better than watching the Brewers on TV. Think I'm glad I missed what I missed.

STL has gotten 17.2 innings from their starters in 4 games. Sooner or later that pen is gonna really get hammered.

OK, it's a 3-game series and you're guaranteed to have Greinke, Gallardo and Marcum going with home field advantage. Hard to ask for a whole lot more than that.
