  1. If the Brewers lose, that kind of AB will do it. No aggressiveness whatsoever.
  2. Don't have to outpitch anyone when your opponent insists on getting themselves out.
  3. Think it's a decent idea. RR may be waiting to make that switch with the P spot in the order.
  4. Yes, the game will be finished. Either tonight with delays or tomorrow picking up wherever it leaves off. In the latter scenario tomorrow's game would be moved to Friday and Friday's to Saturday.
  5. That may be with respect to Prince, but I have to think he still had better odds of scoring by taking the base than by staying at first. He's not fast, so unless Prince homers he's not scoring. Somebody other than the usual guys has to produce eventually.
  6. I'm thinking back to Sunday night. 14-0. Then, game over and not really close.
  7. Was it all you expected? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  8. Time for Hart to do something to make up for not catching a very catchable ball.
  9. It's all well and good to talk about Gomez, but he wasn't going to get this start in any event against RHP. Starting Kotsay was a huge gamble that failed, but I don't know that it's a guarantee that Morgan catches either of those ball, either, given his defense lately (I doubt he gets to the Pujols double in any event). Yo pitched bad, and his outfield didn't catch two ball that a good outfield catches. Either the Brewers have the mental toughness to get themselves back into this game or they don't. Carpenter looks like he can be had tonight.
  10. Meh. Not great, but it doesn't bother me all that much, either. Kotsay will start the game in CF, but I'm guessing he won't finish it. If nothing else the move gives RR a little more flexibility off the bench late in a tight game. (Reaching for positives here). I guess with 12 more games to go in the season you have to rely on some other guys on the roster every now and then.
  11. Edmonds had nice things to say about Milwaukee, and his time with the team last year, yesterday on the SVP show on ESPN Radio. In the end he did go with StL, but that's where he lives.
  12. Thursday, Friday and Saturday all look good weather-wise in St Louis. If they can play tonight they should play, but I don't want any part of a game which is suspended after 4 and carried over to Thursday. Don't see the need to rush into this as dates in Milwaukee (if necessary) are guaranteed.
  13. It's the playoffs. Nobody should expect this to be easy. Both AZ and STL outscored the Crew this season, and AZ did it against better pitching in their own division. The Brewers have their top 2 pitchers going over the next 3 days. Leave aside recent disappointment. How is this not a near-optimal setup given a series tied at 1-1? Turn the situation on its head and pretend for a moment you are a STL fan. Where are you at if the one guy you most believe in on your own staff gets beat tomorrow night and Milwaukee takes home field advantage right back?
  14. So the ball bouncing out of the park likely cost 2 runs there.
  15. Only explanation for that is the ump made the call based on sound and got confused by the ground-foot-ball combination. That or he's simply blind.
  16. Tuesday is the player off day in the NFL, so guys usually get out and do stuff on Monday night. Wonder if there will be Packer sightings at MP tomorrow night.
