  1. Well, sure. If he can prove who posted it, and damages and shouldering the whole extra legal burden of being a public figure. Not worth the time, distraction or unwanted personal attention.
  2. Stevo, Was it the fifth grade grammar or lack of citations that gave it away?
  3. If the Brewers get a quality start out of this (by any measure) and lose a 1-run game to Dontrelle Willis in the year 2011, Randy Wolf is 11th on the list of the team's top 10 problems in the post-game analysis.
  4. If the Brewers could get JJ but only on the condition that he had to lead off every game the rest of the year, Rickie Weeks would have a new spot in the order.
  5. Wolf not terrible, gets stuck with one run in 1st. Willis terrible, Brewers hve no ability to punish him. Ladies and Gents, you NL Central contenders.
  6. You know Willis is missing badly when he goes 2-0 on Yuni.
  7. Well, they probably needed to score more than 1 anyway. Just don't lose your heads and hammer WIllis like you should.
  8. Well, if this game is half as exciting as the Women's WC game, it will be a heck of a ballgame. I'll settle for a 10-1 Brewers win.
  9. No, you wouldn't pay taxes just on the ball. But if you sell it, that's income. The stuff he got in trade is income, though it might be hard to put a solid value on it. Of course, if he turns around and sells some of the signed items the valuation problem goes away. Not saying they'll go after him, but they may keep an eye on things. They certainly would if he just sold it at auction. Why should breaking the transaction down into multiple income-generating opportunities make it any different?
  10. As of today the Pirates are tied with the Brewersin the loss column. They have a better run differential on the season. They have given up 58 fewer runs. With a win today it's possible they will be alone in first place (in the loss column) going into the AS break. Coming out of the break, while the worst road team in the National League is on a 10-game West Coast swing, Pittsburgh gets Houston on the road and then St Louis and Cincinnati at home. After that the Pirates go on the road to Atlanta and Philly for 7 games, but as of right now I think the odds are that Pittsburgh will be leading the division when they go on that trip. If they still are when then get back home I don't see how anyone CAN'T take them seriously. It's the NL Central. We're not talking about great teams here.
  11. He also got a secret notation in his IRS file.
  12. In haiku form: Marcum is bulldog Hernandez still killing Crew Kotsay making friends
  13. Going to be a well-above-average time-of-game in this one I think.
  14. Marcum may not be at his best, but he has to be the mentally toughest guy on the team.
  15. Only guy on the team with a grand slam and he gets the bat taken out of his hand.
  16. Well, that particualr set of circumstances probably hasn't happened very often. Dodgers no hit for 26 outs. Padres have only 1 hit in 27 outs. Then Dodgers get consecutive hits to win 1-0.
  17. So if Kotsay commits an outfield error tonight is that a good sign?
  18. Padres/Dodgers headed to bottom of 9th in LA, 0-0. Dodgers being no-hit by committee.
  19. I have the Braun call saved in mp3 form on every compatible digital device I own.
