  1. Follow that up with another 5 in bottom 2 with 2 on Steffan Wilson's 17th hour of the season...Caleb Gindl picks up his 2nd hit and is 6 for his last 6!
  2. Power hang a 5 spot on the board on 2 hits in the 1st...it's gonna be a weird nite! But hey, it's Dallas Cowboy cheerleader nite tonite..added incentive 2 score!?
  3. Gindl was awesome tonite. 4-4, 2 RBI, Solo HR first at bat, 2 singles, and a triple. Needed a double in the final AB for the cycle and hit a shot into the gap that was played well in the outfield or he gets the cycle! 4 hard hit balls in 4 AB's. Average back up to .297....I know he's been busting it trying to get to .300. Everytime he gets into this range he's had a tough couple games follow...here's hoping for another 4-4 tomorrow!
  4. Agent 39, you saying that the decision has already been made as to who the 7 are by the powers that be? If so, when will this be announced so the rest of us will know?
  5. Power hang a 9 spot on the board bottom of 7...go from 8-1 down to up 10-8! Gindl's 2 out RBI keeps the inning alive for Zealous Wheeler's 3 run jack-jackety jack!
  6. Better yet, with his 2 doubles last nite Caleb Gindl is hitting .462 in his last 10, with 6 RBI in that span also. RBI total for the season hits 61, and the batting average creeps ever so closer to .300 at .296! Another multi hit game might just get him over the hump! It's great to see last years pioneer league batting champ finding a groove!
  7. I followed Rob after the trade, and he was throwing really great. The injury came during the game with the Power where he appeared to have a little "hitch" in his delivery to me. He told me after the game that they had him working on some changes in his delivery....combine new movements with extra adrenalin in facing your old team....bad result. I still think Rob has huge potential for only being 20 years old. Keep an eye on him in the future!
  8. We went and watched the battle of the Roommates (Gindl vs. Bryson) last nite. One heckuva battle! Here's hopin that Rob is ok so that we can have a rematch in the playoffs!!
  9. Live from the Lake County Classic Park...Anundsen up a little in the zone tonite but leaves up 6-3...Haydel 3-3 and Eric Fryer hits a laser HR to left...Power up 7-3 top of seven!
  10. Rob Bryson had a strong outing last nite with only an error by the 3rd baseman keeping him from 2 perfect innings! Only 1 hit and one BB in his last two outings with 5 k's!
  11. My gut tells me watching Gindl here in Charleston is range is fine, instincts are excellent and he has a gun of an arm...knows what to do when he gets the ball, but seems like he's more comfortable on the corner thus far. The Brewers seem big on trying guys out in all positions in the outfield, so let's see what happens. I think Caleb is like 10 for 11 on stolen bases and really seems quick to me when he decides to go, but he really picks his spots stealing...I think there's more speed there than you realize!
  12. Gindl 3 for 3 with a double for the Power thus far tonite.....in center field again....anyone know why he's getting the CF time this week?
  13. Anundsen is a ground ball machine! Even the 4 hits allowed thru 5 seem like they are all ground balls!
  14. Amaury Rivas the beneficiary of the Darren Ford trade getting the call to Brevard County after the game sunday nite. Good luck Amaury!
  15. Live from Appalachian Power Park...Evan Frederickson gives up 8 runs in 2 IP ...maybe more seasoning in Helena is appropriate!
  16. Just a couple pics from the stadium last nite. First is the Curt Rindal HR swing, next is Eric Fryer behind the dish. http://images.yuku.com/image/jpeg/cd61519779e9c3e2e558b0b8ba4f6c209f7c448.jpg http://images.yuku.com/image/jpeg/7d115f9b70ebceeca9ad6769e08f553a0f6d39b.jpg
  17. Power were fantastic tonite hanging a 10 spot on the board in the fifth. Gindl has another multi hit game and helps to cut another guy down at third base throwing a strike to Eric Farris who nails the runner trying to stretch it to a triple! Wilson continues to swing a hot bat with another multi hit performance. Rivas gives up long balls to 2 of the first three batters but settles down pretty nicely after that!
  18. To be honest with you we got to know Brae pretty well in WV, and I think the Brewers were really tinkering with his mechanics way more than normal. I think he finally went back to what he knew in his delivery and that's when he's turned it around!
  19. "not mistaken mass...Gindl's arm is better than his bat... " Guys...Gindl is a very strong fielder...covers ground well, reacts to the ball well, and has a very strong and accurate arm. Don't get too down on his hitting though. Watching him from here, it just seems like there's a hitch in his swing that he needs to work through, but I think he's pressing too hard to figure it out at this point. Seems like something a good hitting instructor should be able to fix with him. He is seeing a lot of pitches, taking more walks lately but it almost looks to me like he's dropping his shoulder....hitting lots of high pop-ups and foul balls. He's just a 19 year old kid in his first full season...he'll be just fine...remember, he did hit .372 last year!
  20. I still think the Linestink trade was horrible...and after reading the Inman comments from today, I guess I probably have some company! Here's hoping the CC trade actually gets the Crew in the playoffs, or next year will be talking about LaPorta from the same point of view....WASTE OF EXCELLENT TALENT!
  21. The shirt is a Brevard County Manataees shirt, and my guess is you'll find it on their website. I know they sell it at their stadium. Try this link Road to the Show
  22. As for Frederickson, sounds like last nite's outing went EXACTLY as his first outing! When he missed, I felt nervous for the catcher and the batter at times! The thing you have to remember about Gindl is he is just 19, and really seems dedicated to the game!
  23. Bryson's first night of work with the Captains 2.0IP 2 Hits 0BB 0K 0Runs. Worked out of a little jam with the hits coming consecutively but a caught stealing and a ground ball ended the threat. Not bad for a new guy in a new town!
  24. I'm just still not convinced. Something still seems off....indians officials seem really excited about the PTBNL and I just don't put another surprise outside the realm of Brewer possibility....seems like every one is so giddy about losing LaPorta, er getting CC that I can't figure why they (the indians) wouldn't confirm who is on the list. Of course if they have and I missed it, this post was just a waste of everyone's time! Anyone know Braddocks pitch count tonite...this is a little over the number of innings he went last year, and just curious where he's at.
  25. Braddock is having a nice outing tonite...I'm glad he wasn't a part of this. Does anyone thing there is a shred of possibility that Salome is the PTBNL and the ankle and drug testing issues are keeping this undone at this point? Lord I hope not! Bryson reports to Lake County Captains tomorrow and could be facing the Power two weeks from friday...I'm hoping he moves up before then personally!
