  1. I feel like Sophia is hearing these players' names for the first time like 95% of the time on these Around the League segments.
  2. Miley is from Louisiana and lives in Austin in the offseason. If the money is similar, I think I'd rather be close to home.
  3. Wouldn’t “Yas We Can” make more sense than “Yaz We Can”? Yas is closer to the word that you’re trying to get to and it’s Yasmani, not Yazmani anyways.
  4. As much as you guys complain about treego going over the top in his love for Santana, there are a ton of guys going over the top trying to point out every flaw. He didn't go back, he went sideways and then back almost immediately and didn't get near the ball because it left the bat on a line at 107 mph with an expected batting average of .680. http://viz.mlb.com/play?game_pk=567591&play_id=b0e5ede0-db26-44b6-9fdc-e6b44675f53e&w=400&h=400&rotation=undefined
  5. Yeah. Collectively bargained with the owners agreeing and everything!
  6. Since Max Scherzer's major league debut, he has more 10 strikeout starts than 21 MLB teams.
  7. Yeah, it is all about him because he earned the right to choose. And he has every right to choose what's best for him and what's best for him is being in the majors and nobody should blame him one bit for that.
  8. Why would any player choose to ride the bus in the minors instead of all the amenities they get as major leaguers? It's easy for everyone to say that but what would you do if they were asking you to go down and ride a bus and share a hotel room and have to find an apartment and move a lot of your stuff down there? I'm guessing you probably wouldn't want to do that either and I don't blame any player who's earned the right to decline a minor league assignment doing so.
  9. Bill makes it sound like that was an obvious catch when it took 5 seconds for the umps to make a call and he didn't know either. God he's dumb.
  10. No it's not and they haven't even asked him too.
  11. Yes. You’re saying their memory was erased after last season basically.
  12. Brian and Bill make it sound like Arcia is the only shortstop that could possibly make that play when probably 75% or more would be able to.
  13. So saying a scrub like Nate Orf shouldn't be playing over Shaw means we're giving Shaw a pass? Nobody thinks Shaw should be starting right now.
  14. Stephen A. Smith, Colin Cowherd and Skip Bayless would be impressed by the hotness of this take.
  15. Bradley struck out 17% of the time in the minors and had a nearly .400 OBP there. Ray strikes out 29% of the time and has a .312 OBP. Add to Bradley being a much better defender and they just aren't even close to comparable.
  16. For what? He's almost 25 with a career OPS of .718 and without the defense that would make that kind of offensive production acceptable.
  17. Ummm ... I'm not buying what you're selling. Look at those stats once again! It's not even close! Santana K% 29% with a babip of .359 is not sustainable and his average is going to drop. Guaranteed that Santana will have a batting average closer to .260 and possibly even lower. His career BABIP is .360 and his batted ball profile suggests that it's possible that he could carry higher BABIPs.
  18. Literally the article in the first couple of posts which you would've realized had you not been so mad about me thinking that a couple of mediocre at best prospects would be enough for a guy who's nearly produced 3 WAR already with 3 more years of control.
  19. You think this team is on the cutting edge? Well prove it and clone the pitcher several times.
  20. This umpire doesn't call anything a strike if it's low or high (even if it's in the strike zone) but he calls pretty much every outside or inside even if it's a few inches off the plate.
  21. You guys don't know what you're missing. I refuse to eat cornflakes that aren't covered in piss.
