  1. Each of our first five hitters has an OPS over .800 against lefties and the 6th hitter (Weeks) is at .793. If the offense is going to break out, today would be the day. *Fully prepared and expecting them to get shutout on 3 hits.
  2. Your reward for winning the division is to rest tired players, prevent injuries to stars (what would everyone be saying if Trout played last night and sprained his ankle?) and to set up your rotation for the playoff series. I'm sure the A's would say the same thing. All they had to do was not be the worst team in the AL for the past month and they wouldn't have to worry about who the Angels were playing.

  4. Nelson gave up two ground ball hits and another got on base because Ramirez had a double play ball go right under his glove.
  5. With two outs though? And a force everywhere. I'd rather he swing instead of hoping he places a bunt perfectly to allow every runner to be safe.
  6. Or bunt. One of our best hitters is bunting. I hate this manager.
  7. I don't think anyone disagrees that Reynolds is a dope but it happened and RRR needs to be thinking at that point what happens if Adams comes up to bat. At the very least you force Matheny's hand and make him pinch hit for Adams. But no, struggling 8th inning guy must finish the 8th inning no matter what.
  8. Seriously, Adams is a career .196/.223/.332 hitter against lefties and we have three good ones in the bullpen.
  9. I would say there's a damn good chance they turn two on that. As I type this, it costs us at least a run.
  10. Don't know what's worse, the Brewers offense or listening to Brian and Bill constantly talk about how great the Cardinals are.
  11. 17 pitches in 2 innings. That's about the average number of pitches per inning for our starters.
  12. I believe he was arrested in summer and released almost immediately after his arrest so the NFL didn't really have to do anything about it. The Patriots took care of it by releasing him.
  13. They won their division, they can rest whoever they want. If the A's wouldn't have crapped the bed, they wouldn't have to worry about who the Angels are playing against the Mariners.
  14. Despite that awful call, the Brewers throughout the game had some of the most pathetic at bats I've ever seen.
  15. 4 batters and 6 pitches. It almost seems impossible yet this team continually does it.
