  1. They have every reason to scoreboard watch since they're a half inning away from clinching consecutive playoff berths.
  2. Do both the Pirates and Giants have to win tonight, for a Brewers loss to be the final nail tonight? This doesn't mean I don't realize it's a matter of time. Yeah magic number is 2 for each team. They have the same record, both 5 games up on us. Loss by the Brewers and wins by those two put it at a 6 game deficit with 5 to play.
  3. Grapefruit League blows. Rain outs and teams completely spread out.
  4. I think teams would be allowed to protect far more than 15 players.
  5. Officially eliminated with a loss and Pirates and Giants wins.
  6. Yeah, you can't really move the walls back without a major reconstruction of everything structural in the outfield. It's possible, it would just cost a ton of money and wouldn't be worth it overall. It's much, much easier to move the walls in like the Padres, Mariners and Mets did. That allows them to add more seats and "party" spaces while having to do nothing but tear down the walls and move them closer.
  7. First of all, what kind of snake is it? That's kind of important to know. I could make a suggestion if you can give a definitive ID on what type it is.
  8. Right. We should just keep status quo because somebody else might be worse. That's hardly a defense for keeping someone.
  9. The pitching was wonderful. 12 runs allowed on the 6 game road trip. The problem was this joke of an offense only scored 8.
  10. High chopper fielded by the pitcher. He throws to 1st, ball is in the dirt and the 1st baseman couldn't dig it out. For some reason Gomez is 25 feet off a 2nd base on the turn. They throw to 2nd and get him in a run down.
  11. Oh my God. Gomez you have to be the dumbest player in the world.
  12. I'll just say this. Worley pitched 8 innings and 63 of his 82 pitches were strikes.
  13. "Trying to overthrow that slider." Yeah, Bill, that 98 mph slider. And the Brewers and Packers lose on plays within a minute of each other.
  14. 72 pitches in 7 innings for the opposing pitcher. The offense is complete garbage but to be fair, it is better than the Packers offense.
  15. Just read your sig for the first time and I love it.
  16. The offense is way ahead of you on that suggestion.
  17. They make $70 million a year from local and national TV deals before a single fan comes through the turnstiles. Even if they drop to 1,000,000 fans at $15 a ticket and they don't buy a single beer, brat, jersey etc. Attanasio would make money because we wouldn't be sporting a $100 million payroll while rebuilding. Not to mention the revenue sharing money we would get. We really need to get over this myth that Attanasio would lose a ton of money if he decided to do a rebuild. He would more than likely make more money.
  18. I tend to agree with this. Their silence spoke volumes. And McCalvy added this to his story. Sure they made the playoffs the first three years in Nashville but they've missed the playoffs the last seven years and gave them the two worst records in franchise history as well. Why wouldn't you look for something better when the teams you're given year in and year out for nearly a decade are bad? Maybe they should've given them better teams on the field and if they did, they would probably still be affiliated with them. Melvin's reaction to it is weak as well. You said you had opportunities to leave for a better affiliate. Then why didn't you? It was never guaranteed that Nashville was going to get a new stadium. Instead you let our prospects play in a dump of a stadium hoping one day that Nashville would get a new stadium and that they would want to keep the Brewers even though they hadn't won in years.
  19. It's been harder to sell tickets this year. Some of that may have to do with low expectations to start after last season but they were in contention after the all-star break and they could barely crack 40,000. The last two times they were contending during the season they would eclipse 40,000 every night through the summer, stay in the mid 30,000s when school started again and get back to 40,000+ on September weekend series'. This year it's been weak crowds relative to their record all summer. So yeah, I think fans might be getting tired of this suck for two years, hope we can compete every once in a while stuff.
  20. lol. Our playoff acquisition gives up the homer that probably ends our season.
  21. So what's the rationale for leaving Gallardo in for 110+ pitches but taking Lohse out yesterday with fewer than 90? Not saying I disagree with leaving Gallardo in. Just baffled how Lohse was taken out
  22. I'll be honest, I'm not even sure if I want Ramirez back next year. He seems really lazy to me.
  23. Was thinking the same thing. He didn't have a need to dive at it. The 1st base dugout camera showed it went right under his glove. Not an easy play but one he should make.
  24. A 4 freakin' pitch inning from our 3-4-5 hitters.
