I'm watching both the Brewers and the Virginia/TCU CWS game, which is in the bottom of the 14th. I'm a Virginia alum, so with that game and this bottom of the 9th, I have no finger nails left. In that case, I hope you're flexible enough to reach your toes and have somewhat of a foot fetish.

Altidore was out, which hurt because he can keep the ball and give the defense and midfielders a break. Bradley played one of the worst games I've ever seen him play. Dempsey couldn't really do anything after he broke his nose and Ghana plays an attacking style. It's not a surprise that they had trouble keeping the ball taking into account all of those things. For the most part there wasn't much of a threat for Ghana. The goal obviously and then the free header in the box around 55(?) minutes in. So yeah, they had a lot of possession but they couldn't really do much with it.

I would hardly call .288/.313/.360 a very solid month. I mean compared to what he's done in April and June it's solid but compared to the rest of the league it's still pretty bad.

Coentrao is out for the rest of the World Cup. Two big losses in the back for Portugal with Pepe out.

This is the problem. He swings at everything, including a ton of awful pitches and gets himself out.

It wasn't about what he had compared to other teams, it's how he utilized what he had and if he put what he had in the best position to win. This is the same guy who underachieved in Atlanta.
