I think he and his team should've been allowed to keep their trophies. It says in the quote you posted that he knew nothing of the falsified documents, so how can you take that away from him knowing that?
Watch the replay and tell me where the contact is. The only argument you could make is Knight clipped her right foot as she was trying to catch up but if that had happened she wouldn't have been able to bring her foot forward as she did. It was a horrendous call. I'm not arguing that they choked at the end of the 3rd, their defensive positioning was horrendous and I could've handled a loss in OT pretty much any other way because it would've been decided by the players. Not two phantom calls against us.
The slash call was garbage as was the breakaway "cross check" when the Canadian fell on her own. That gave them a very short 5 on 3 when the goal was scored. All that after everyone was saying the refs were going to swallow the whistles and let the players decide the game, to have those two calls go against you is horrific.
Kane is terrible. Stop stick handling and actually do something with the puck. Get rid of his ass in the next Olympics (if NHL players are still allowed to go) for Bobby Ryan. At least we know he'll shoot the puck. Every key faceoff, whether it be in our defensive zone to clear pressure or in the offensive zone to maybe generate a cycle and a scoring chance or two we seemed to lose. Those were the most infuriating parts of the game to me. I can handle this loss better than the one yesterday where the women were screwed over by the refs.
I mean it's not a horrible idea if he didn't have two knee surgeries last year but he did, so it's a pretty horrible idea. He should DH and then work his way back to 1B.
LOL at Manure yesterday. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O9ObC_FVh1o Saw on twitter that they had 81 crosses yesterday, 10 more than any team in the top 5 European leagues in the last 4 seasons.
So Liverpool is dismantling Arsenal at halftime. Assuming that score holds and with the way both teams played, it should, Man City and Chelsea have the chance to move ahead of Arsenal to the top of the table.
Red Sox get a little help with Boegaerts still being eligible as a rookie. They also have a group of terrific pitching prospects, 4 finished in AA or higher (3 in AAA) and the other, Trey Ball was the 7th overall pick in 2013.
I'm the opposite. I can watch almost every Winter Olympic event and be entertained. Other than soccer, basketball and swimming, the Summer Olympics are awful to me.
