  1. Do they plan on putting Hanley at 3B or SS (replacing Gordon) though? My initial reaction to the Hanley trade was that they'd no longer be in the market for Aramis. Shortstop
  2. You keep saying this and I don't know why. So we can win 75 games instead of 74?
  3. I think people who are mad Greinke wasn't out for the 8th inning need to familiarize themselves with the phrase "protect your assets."
  4. Really guys? Greinke is being shopped. No reason to send him out there again for the 8th when teams have already seen that he's still a great pitcher.
  5. I'm optimistic the bullpen can blow any lead given to them.
  6. "Greinke wasn't mentally tough enough to go another inning for his team and the bullpen ended up blowing the game." -Tomorrow's quote from an anonymous NL executive
  7. You obviously didn't look very hard. Took me about 30 seconds to get Joey Votto.
  8. Or an even better idea than that is lighting $10 million on fire.
  9. I'd want Rendon and Alex Meyer for Greinke from the Nats. I would use our competitive balance pick if necessary to push the deal through.
  10. The Twins traded an above average, young starting catcher under control for six years for a reliever. That's a bad deal, I don't care if the reliever is Mariano Rivera. It's still a bad deal.
  11. If he's put on waivers a team can claim him. If a team claims him the Brewers can only work out a trade with that team, they can keep him or they can let him go for nothing (like Alex Rios going from Toronto to Chicago). If he clears waivers (unlikely, some contender would claim him) he could then be traded to any team.
  12. Surprised the Mariners traded Ichiro since a week ago they were talking about giving him an extension for some reason. Don't really get it for the Yankees either. Ichiro isn't good anymore.
  13. Also of note. The Marlins are 44-51. The Brewers are 44-50. Hint, hint Melvin and Attanasio.
  14. Sanchez is a free agent after the season, Turner is ranked as the 22nd best prospect in baseball by Baseball America. Cross another Greinke suitor off the list.
  15. [sarcasm]Yes, because Seid has been so successful as scouting director that obviously makes the most sense.[/sarcasm]
  16. Neftali. Pedro Feliz was the awful infielder. Matt Harrison is okay too. Career 4.14 ERA, 4.20 FIP, 4.30 xFIP and the last two years he's had ERA's of 3.39 and 3.02, FIPs of 3.52 and 3.57 and xFIPS of 3.85 and 4.03.
  17. His average fastball is 92.0 mph. For comparison here are some other pitchers average fastballs. CC Sabathia 92.2, Johnny Cueto 92.2, Yovani Gallardo 91.8, Felix Hernandez 91.8. He's also 22 and pitching in the majors. Not many guys are dominating the majors at age 22. Just because he's not dominating doesn't mean he's not a good prospect or that he won't get better. That's the part you don't seem to understand. Younger players generally tend to get better. Amazing, I know.
  18. Based on your posts you're unimpressed with every prospect.
