That was a hell of a play by Gamel and the blame should go on Axford for the throw. Run to the base, he slowed down, Gamel put it right where it needed to be and it bounced out of Axford's glove.

They're saying they want to go with 4 divisions with 30 teams (which is funny considering the AHL wants to go to 6 divisions with 30 teams) so they're basically just flipping. I also don't see NYI moving. They desperately need a new arena and they're going to be voting for one on August 1st but they have a great TV contract in the largest TV market. Also don't see Florida moving since they're locked into their lease. Expansion would be our only chance and since Bettman has said they're not discussing expansion and that we would probably need a new arena and would need the Bucks to move I'm not getting my hopes up.

Even if Green is "bad", a .650 OPS with average defense would be an upgrade over McGehee. -

You have the MLE every year unless you have more cap space than the MLE is worth. Then you renounce the MLE to use cap space.

Jax is an inefficient shooter, but he also creates shots for others. That's something neither Salmons nor Maggette ever did. Maggette I agree with, Salmons I don't. He averaged 3.5 assists in his time here with awful offensive players. Jackson has averaged 3.6 the past couple years with similar awful offensive players. Don't ignore Shaun Livingston in this trade either. His Player Efficiency Rating was pretty good last year First of all, PER is a garbage stat. Sundiata Gaines was rated the 10th best SG according to it in 2009-2010 ahead of Kevin Martin, Ray Allen, Eric Gordon and James Harden. Second, his PER was like 14.33, 15 is average so unless by pretty good you mean below average, then I agree his PER was pretty good.

Why is there no attention paid to efficiency? Sure Jackson scores 20 points a game but it's on bad efficiency. That doesn't help the least efficient offense in the NBA.

Why wouldn't they? Dude is hilarious. I never tune in to the postgame stuff but if they say Morgan is getting interviewed I stay and watch. Even ESPN is picking up on how awesome he is. Jim Rome, after Morgan's first interview on his TV show the next day said something like "Morgan needs to be a correspondent for this show yesterday."

Yes, they had a graphic that said only one was earned and then Brian said only one was earned. The broadcast was wrong which is just shocking.
