  1. How does Escobar belong nowhere near the top of the lineup but you advocate Gomez, a guy who has never had an OBP above .296 in the leadoff spot?
  2. Melvin is on WSSP right now. He was asked about the outfield. He mentioned Braun and Hart being starters and then mentioned how they have more left handers this year. Doesn't sound like Hart is going to be getting a ton of playing time.
  3. Classic dodge of a question by Melvin.
  4. No because Schoeneweis still wouldn't have a job in the majors. Gallardo Wolf Davis Bush Narveson Hoffman Coffey Stetter Villanueva Hawkins Parra Vargas That's still 12 all who would be ahead of him with Axford and Braddock in Nashville waiting for a callup and they would probably be ahead of Schoeneweis too.
  5. Bill Michaels was on 620 this morning. He said he talked to a long time scout down in Arizona and asked about Hart. The scout told him "He's done."
  6. Just making your post more accurate on what happens when Suppan throws a strike.
  7. That's actually from Witrado so I would take that with a pretty big grain of salt.
  8. Agreed on the third goal he gave up. I heard it hit off the pipe and then I heard a bunch of cheering and finally the referee pointing in the goal. I couldn't believe it. That's the first thing they teach you as a goalie, seal the post and he didn't. I was waiting for the replay just hoping that the puck didn't completely cross the line, but it easily did. Agree about the refs as well. My God, it's a hockey game, not an ice dancing competition. Guys are going to get hit, it's part of the game, you don't have to call basically every little thing. What's up with all of these "hits to the head"? The Badgers were called for at least two this weekend, neither were actually hits to the head and even though the coverage of Badger hockey in Milwaukee sucks, I didn't see one of those calls this season either against the Badgers or any team they played until this weekend. Those refs were garbage and they better not be anywhere near the Frozen Four.
  9. Ugh. Step up on D guys, just left Gudmandson out to dry. Edit: Gardiner on the rebound!!!!!
  10. GEOFFRION!!!!! Edit: Saw a guy rocking a ball and glove logo hat. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  11. Need to finish on that break, Podge.
  12. Six penalties called 5:49 into the game. I hate these referees. Another hit to the head call that was as clean as a check can be. Edit: Make that seven penalties 6:12 into the game.
  13. Oh what a beautiful goal by Bucky. Bohmbach carries it into the offensive zone and centers a soft pass toward the goal. Mitchell takes his stick and just reaches out tipping it past Lee.
  14. Couple more games tonight. Yale got their first win in the tournament since 1952 today beating North Dakota 3-2. RIT and New Hampshire are playing right now and it looks like RIT will be heading to the Frozen Four. Currently leading New Hampshire 4-1 with 14 minutes left. The winner of the St. Cloud/Wisconsin game will face most likely RIT in the Frozen Four.
  15. That's got to be awesome for the fans and players being an underdog and having the Final 4 in your home city.
  16. "Except that flyout by Murphy, everything has been strikeouts or groundouts." -Bill Except for those four other flyouts.
  17. Would not be shocked if Hart was a bench player as early as mid April. He is awful.
  18. I could easily understand that penalty if he actually hit him in the head, but he didn't and he led with his shoulder not his elbow. That was a clean hit. The referee who called it was behind the play and shielded by Smith so he didn't have a good view of if he hit him in the head or led with an elbow.
  19. I hate the way this announcer says Stepan. There is no way that's a penalty. He didn't even hit him in the head!
  20. Dumb penalty by Mitchell. You're likely getting a powerplay if you don't shove him to the ice.
  21. I know, I was mainly just astounded by the complete lack of knowledge of the guy who calls the games.
  22. Bill saying he was impressive and that we should expect to see him in Milwaukee sometime this season made me cringe. There would be several players I would call up before I would even think about calling him up. He's horrible.
  23. Down goes Denver! Down goes Denver! RIT wins 2-1. Jared DiMichiel was a stud in the net for the Tigers.
